 Going downhill January 8, 2009
We've purchased the Lego advent calendar three years in a row. Each year, the calendar becomes more and more disappointing. Lego has cut back on the substance of the calendar each year. Many of the individual pieces were ridiculous.
We will continue to buy other LEGO products, just not this one.
 Great Advent Calendar January 8, 2009
It was the first thing my 6 year old son would open each morning, as soon as he got up. He loved it. The pattern is every three days would be a set. The first day would be the figure, the next two would be accessories. Repeats until the calendar in finished. They have a larger Lego advent calendar we will get next year, but this was a BIG hit.

I bought this for my 11 year old son,and he loved it. He could not wait to get up every day to see what he would get. A great gift for a true Lego lover.
Wish Lego Advent Calendars were year round January 7, 2009
I bought this advent calendar for my 5 year old son. He loved it. Each day has an individual bag of Legos behind each door and the inside of the door has a small picture to show what the finished product should look like. I did need to help him open the plastic bag each morning as it was very durable and not easy to tear open. For my son, getting ready in the morning for the school bus is a challenge, but this was extremely motivating for my son and he was up and dressed very early each morning to open the next door.
I cut all of the doors off the box and taped them to a piece of paper for him when Christmas was over so he could keep the diagrams of what the pieces should look like without having to keep the box. I only wish that advent calendars were year round, it was just a great motivator for him and he really enjoyed it! I can't wait for next year's version!
A Great toy for kids of all ages January 6, 2009
This item is one of the better Lego Advent Calanders that I have ever seen. A great buy but VERY hard to find
