Product Description Spend a fun, song-filled day with Winnie the Pooh, as he shares lessons on friendship and emotions. Along the way, key learning concepts are introduced, like counting, shape identification and color recognition. Includes over 100 fun activities about friendship, sharing, manners and more. Compatible only with the LittleTouch LeapPad System, sold separately.
Editorial Review One of a library of interactive books that play on LeapFrog's Little Touch LeapPad, Pooh Loves You! teaches babies important social skills, such as sharing and using good manners, and reinforces numbers and shapersall under the gentle guidance of lovable Winnie the Pooh. The book and cartridge snap easily into the LeapPad. With three settings to choose from, parents can adjust the book to play at the appropriate pace for their child. Babies can listen to musical rhythms and sounds to stimulate early brain development while 1-1/2 to 2-years olds are ready to hear short phrases to teach word-object association and development of early language skills. The final setting prepares older toddlers for preschool by playing rhymes and building skills in sequence memorization and following directions. To get started, children must touch the "Go" circle on each new page. (Smaller babies will require an adult's help). Kids can sit back and listen or touch anything on the page to hear a letter sound or have an object identified. Some pages also have a honey pot icon, which plays a song when touched, and a light bulb icon, which begins an interactive learning activity when activated. The book's fabric pages are water-repellant and tear-resistant, making it impossible for even the toughest little hands to destroy it. --Cristina Vaamonde

Great book, even without the pad! December 4, 2007 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Although I didn't know that I needed the LeapPad, my 16 m son loved this book, even without the pad.
Fun interactive book for Mom and Baby June 7, 2006 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
We are big fans of the Little Touch books as a way for us to sit with our little guy and look at the pictures. (He is 10 months now, but we started with this book at 6 months.) We like several of the books, but the sounds and messages of this Pooh Bear book are delightful. We often shut off the story and just use the pictures and sounds to talk to the baby. It is a very engaging way to calm him and share a quiet time. It is not a substitute for reading to the him, but it is a fun additional activity.
