The Musical Inchworm is great for tummy time. View larger. | Stimulates Baby's Vision and Auditory Skills When babies are first born, they see in black and white. This is why the Musical Inchworm strikes a balance between bright, high contrast patterns that help stimulate baby's vision, and bold solid colors that give baby's eyes a place to rest. Sounds like rattle, squeak, crinkle, and jingle also help stimulate and develop baby's auditory skills. Finally, the Musical Inchworm's large, friendly eyes invite baby to focus and stare at a single object, which can help calm baby while supporting healthy eye development. Child-Safe Design With its soft velour body and interesting textures to touch and chew, the Musical Inchworm is an ideal play and rest-time companion, whether baby is at home in his crib or traveling in the car. Safe and easy for little hands to hold and investigate, this toy also features an underside that measures your baby up to 24 inches. It even plays the song "If You're Happy and You Know It Clap Your Hands" when hugged. Perhaps the most rewarding feature of the Musical Inchworm's design, however, is the bonding opportunities it offers. In fact, this toy is perfect for an interactive game of peek-a-boo--simply hide the inchworm's head underneath a blanket and then show the baby the inchworm as you say "peek-a-boo!" Another great toy from Lamaze October 28, 2008 My four month old son loves this worm. He hugs it while on his play mat. Each section makes a different noise. I only wish the music played longer!
My daughter loves it! October 13, 2008 She is 6 months old. She loves the inchworm. It was a great gift and I would probably buy it for someone else. My daughter has a lot of the smaller toys that she grabs and puts in her mouth. This one is a lot bigger than most of the toys she has and gives her more to do besides putting it in her mouth. She likes the different noises it makes (crinkle and it rattles and the music) and she likes trying to lug it, she likes to reach out and touch it during tummy time. I'm very happy with it.
Completely boring September 24, 2008 My 15 month old daughter has absolutely no interest in this toy. We bought this for her when she was around 6 months old or so and she has never played with it. It doesn't do anything. I think there is one spot that will play a little bit of music when you squeeze it, but that's about it. Save your money.
Long lasting September 24, 2008 This is great, our first born, loved it and now our second baby also enjoys playing with it. It has lasted for over 3 years and it still works great, even the battery still plays.
Decent but not great September 10, 2008 This is probably the worst of the Lamaze Toys that I have purchased (granted that I think Lamaze Toys are better than just about any other baby toys). The worm is difficult for my son to grab onto and it doesn't really do that much. The single musical thing is rather quiet. Like the other poster, my son prefers Pupsqueak to this toy. He also likes his Buzz Bug much more than this toy. Inchworm isn't awful and has kept his attention but we've gotten a lot more mileage out of the other Lamaze toys. I'd got with Pupsqueak or Buzz instead.
