I gave my 5 year old granddaughter this fairy garden for Christmas, and my daughter and I spent well over an hour helping her put it together. It was supposed to be one of the best toys for this age group according to Family magazine. No mention was made that there were many many tiny parts to be put together, (Hundreds?) some of which were never found. She never could have done it herself, and many pieces will get lost. The instruction booklet showed how to put together the parts with pictures, and the little one was able to understand how to put the fairies together. She did enjoy working on it with us, and she liked the fairies. The fairies were cute and large enough to handle, although still small. It is a cute set but plan on doing all the putting together yourself, and plan on having zip-lock baggies for the many parts. Not very practical, and a disappointment.
