Must Have! January 8, 2009 Bought this game for my 5year old son for Christmas. He has had his leapster for a year now and we are always looking for new, fun, educational games to buy him. He absolutely LOVES this game! He giggles at all of the funny little noises and gets really excited to spell every word!
Good concept but a pain to play January 6, 2009 The game in itself is a good idea, but moving around on it is a different story. I tried to play it (and I do know how to spell) but getting it to move and turn was a pain. It was not one of my best purchases.
this game is stupid January 5, 2009 There is a big problem with this game. the leapster 4-way button doesn't work well, and this game uses only the 4-way button. therefor, the game isn't "just like pac-man " because pac-man uses a joystick. my daughter gave up on this game after about 20 frustrating minutes, and then I tried it and couldn't get through the first screen. the guy just doen't move where you move him.

I bought this game because my daughter has been discouraged with spelling. This was a perfect choice. She loves to play and is quickly gaining confidence in her spelling ability. It is the classic example of a fun and educational toy.
GREAT FUN! December 17, 2007 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
My (just turned) 4 y/o son has this game. Even though he doesn't konw how to spell well, he likes to move the cat around to avoid or eat the mice. He only knows how to spell sight words (car, cat, bat, nap, etc), and sometimes needs help with those. For some reason, he always choses level 4 - words like firefighter!
Even for non-spellers, this game is fun.
