so so but not worth the price January 6, 2009 lots of fun for the kids but it does fall apart easily - kids didnt mind but i was fixing it daily which just got old
Junk = Fisher Price???? so disappointed January 6, 2009 How durable is this toy? For this price it should have a lot more qualities than just a name!!!
It has bright colors, but the skimpy quality does not reflect the previous products made to be transmitted from parents to their children.
After buying the whole line of products for my children. This was my first and last Fisher Price purchase for my granchildren!!!
The elevator does not work... The garage comes with only 2 cars, and 2 little people, one of which makes noises, but they are so poorly made that they don't even make it down the ramp (the weight and the shape of both the cars and the little people don't allow it!!!)
So for that kind of price, I'll pass next time and say good bye to that brand.
Disappointing, especially compared to earlier model January 4, 2009 As others have said, this new garage is not nearly as good as the previous model for several main reasons: 1) the ramp is not very sturdy and comes apart so that the cars can't cruise down it 2) the elevator is not designed to be lifted and lowered by young children 3) the "fun extras" are not really that fun (a pump handle sits next to a gas pump with no holder and there's one other small spin toy under the ramp- that's it). I wouldn't recommend spending money on this toy. Look at the Farm, Bus or even the Pirate Ship instead.
cheaply made, elevator sticks January 3, 2009 I'm disappointed in this toy. The elevator sticks so badly that my toddler cannot push it up by herself. Eventually the elevator will break, because the only mechanism holding it steady at each "floor" is a tiny plastic piece twice the size of a grain of rice. The old hand-crank you turn to make the elevator go up is gone, and once the car is at the top, it doesn't go down the ramp automatically the way the old-fashioned ramp worked. It's fun to watch the cars go down the spiral ramp, but that's about the extent of the fun.
another frustrated toddler December 30, 2008 I bought this toy for my 2 year old nephew. He loved to move the cars around the ramp but quickly became frustrated because he couldn't move the elevator up and down by himself. The adults even had trouble and thought it was annoying. Also he couldn't fit the car from the second floor onto the ramp. The car wouldn't fit! Poor design overall. I hope that Fisher Price decides to redesign this one to be like the old one with a crank up and down elevator. That was so much easier and so much more fun.
