I love it November 25, 2008 I bought this for my two year old son, because I was going to make my own Bob the Builder costume for Halloween. I thought it would go great, because he could play with it after Halloween was over. He started playing with it before I even took it out of the box, and I ended up letting him play with it before Halloween. The tools and hardhat are very durable. He loves pressing the button, and dancing along to the Bob the Builder song. I would recommend this for anyone's little builder!
He loves it! November 25, 2008 I bought my stepson this tool belt set for Halloween because he is obsessed with Bob the Builder. He loves all the tools as well as pressing the button on the belt and responding to Bob asking, "Can we fix it?" He loves "working" next to daddy who is a general contractor. He and I also pretend to build things with the tools (I of course am Wendy). This is the first time I have seen him really role play and its wonderful to see he gets the idea of pretend. The toolbelt is definitely one of his favorite toys and worth every penny. I want to agree with folks that the hat is a bit large. Also, some of the loops for tools are a bit too small to get the tools into very easily. Still my little guy loves this toy so don't let that dissuade you!
Fun tools and belt, horrible hat November 18, 2008 My 2 y/o really enjoys putting the toolbelt on and playing with the tools. The tools are pretty well built. I wish they didn't have to brand every piece as BtB. Biggest disappointment was the helmet. It does not have an adjustment band inside and is somewhat small. It's actually best described as a plastic bowl and won't stay on his head.
On of his favorites November 11, 2008 I bought this for my almost-two-year old for his Halloween costume. I don't think he has taken it off since. The tools are perfect for little hands, but keep an eye on him when he has the hammer! We got our money's worth for sure.
great idea, average execution November 9, 2008 Bought this set for my son, who is almost three and loves anything construction-related. We have had this set for almost a month, and have mixed feelings about it. The hard-hat does not stay in place - should have been obvious to me from the picture as it has nothing to hold it in place. this annoyed my son as he has a fireman's plastic hat that has an adjustable insert that enables me to adjust it so that it is held snuggly in place - this has no such thing. the belt is good for the most past - although all the slots seem to be the same size so it was difficult to insert some of the tools and there was also a sizing issue. however, the talking buckle/pront part was such a hit. my son enjoyed having bob the builder talk to him! so overall, i would say that this set has the potential but still a few details were left out.
