Dog toy November 26, 2008 I have no idea how much babies think of this toy, but I can tell you it is a GREAT toy for a Malamute! Zeevie chased this thing all over the house, swatting it, slamming it into walls, and picking it up and dropping it. It just keeps on working despite the abuse! This thing is way better than a kibble ball!
Great toy!! November 5, 2008 My son received this toy last Christmas from his aunt. He loved it then, and still loves it now, and he is almost two. He uses it more now than ever, as he has figured out how to make the buttons work and even can turn it on and off. I would definitely recommend this for any child.
Not as annoying as it looks August 27, 2008 My mom bought this for my son when he was 6 months old. I immediately thought that it was one of those annoying, loud, obnoxious toys that never shuts up. I was pleasantly surprised. It is actually only noisy when my son is playing with it. Also, there is an off switch and two volume settings. My son was on the verge of crawling (he'd been creeping and rocking on his knees for a while) when he received this. I believe this toy gave him the added incentive to crawl. It didn't go far on the carpet so he was able to catch it, eventually. It gave him a goal to reach. Now that he crawls like a pro, he has fun pushing the buttons and is fascinated by the music and flashing lights. At 10 months, he still enjoys playing with it. One word of caution, however. It is rather heavy for a toy and will hurt if it is dropped on the foot, etc.
Mother of Twins July 23, 2008 I bought this for my sons when they were only a few months old. At first I was concerned that they did not appear interested it the item. Now at 10 months it is a must whenever we visit people. They love to sit with it on the carpet and push the buttons or chase it around the hardwood floors. I only wish the colors used for the animals were more realistic. I've never seen puppy with blue spots before and as an educational toy I wish they would stay truer to reality.
Entertaining, FUN, encourages motor skills! July 16, 2008
My 8 month old daughter loves the crawl ball! We recently visited family who had it and she couldn't get enough of it! She has always been a very laid back baby and would rather roll around to items than even try to crawl, but ever since she played with the crawl ball, she's starting to want to crawl and try to go after toys she was too lazy to go after before! I can't wait to get one myself so she can play with it at home!!
There are two volume options and an off position as well. The music and voices can get a little annoying as with most children's toys, but when you look down at your baby smiling and having a blast with it, you won't even care! You may even catch your baby crawling for the first time!!!
I like how it moves on it's own, all the lights, and how it prompts the child to play with it more by talking when it hasn't been touched in a little while. My daughter got the biggest kick out of its movements!
Very reasonably priced at around $12.99! Excellent bang for your buck! You wouldn't expect this toy to be so inexpensive for everything it does!!! I have found other toys somewhat comparable at the same price, but not with all lights, music, education, and movement that this has! (Some had movement and sound, but no lights; others had movement and lights, but no sound, etc.) This one is fabulous.
Colors are great too. Great for either gender.
It has to be durable - it has survived my 2 rambunctious nieces, ages 5 and 2!! Toys rarely last long with those two, especially ones that roll!
I think I have just as much fun watching the kids play with this as they do!
