Brightlings Matches October 22, 2008 These pieces light up which gets my granddaughters attention and she loves to interchange them with her other sets. She enjoys all the pieces.
Not for my 1 yr old September 19, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I tend to like Leapfrog products so I bought this for my daughter before she was born thinking she'd be able to play with them soon based on the 6-month old age rating. My son was 2 yrs old at the time, but he wasn't able to pull the shapes apart. He wasn't able to get them apart until closer to 3. He did have some interest in them when I pulled them apart for him and he put them back together, but the interest didn't last long. My daughter, now 1, doesn't have much interest in them at all.
Great Value January 21, 2008 My 8 month old daughter really likes these, especially when the light blinks on the yellow one. She is too young yet to match them up but she does reach for them instead of some of her other toys. I can see how they will help in early education in the future. For the price, they are a great value. Very portable as well, they fit in the diaper bag for that much needed distraction when we are out and about.
Can't believe this is from Leapfrog. January 17, 2008 I love leapfrog products and have been buying them for the past 4 years. When I saw the brightlings I thought that they would be a fun toy for my 11 month old son. I got these at a discounted price during the Christmas season and I have to say they are not even worth the $[...]. Chime, glow, spin a bit of liberty was given to the product description. My son was 9mths when he got this and has shown no real interest in them.
I will say that they are cute and very durable because they are tossed out of the crib several times a day on to a tiled floor.
Maybe when he is a little older he would appreciate the abstract shape design (cicle, triangle and square) and learn something from them but until such time 3 stars - only because its Leapfrog.
Cute for older babies January 15, 2008 I ordered these because they were on sale and they are adorable! It recommends 6 months and up and I would agree. They are a bit hard to put together so even 6 months is kind of young. But they work out great for together-play with our daughter. Also our 4 year old son likes to "work" them for her. The yellow one that lights up is REALLY bright and none of them do their "action" for very long, but they are still a great toy. I recommend pretty much anything from LeapFrog!
