Product Description Transformers Animated Roll Out Command Optimus Prime recites phrases from the cartoon, and features a function that allows one to gradually transform truck mode into robot mode by rolling the vehicle forward. Roll Out Command Optimus Primeās color scheme includes red, blue, silver and black, with a few touches of yellow. He appears to support articulation at the shoulders, wrists, waist, hips and knees. A well-trained natural leader, this comparatively untested version of Optimus Prime dwelled wistfully on the accounts of old battles until he finally received his first assignment: pitted against Megatron and the other Decepticons, Prime leads the Autobots in a venture to keep the All Spark out of the tyrannical grasp of Megatron.

You Have To Get One. August 7, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
My mom bought me this figure for my birthday and I love it. The Auto-Spin conversion is a very nice feature. He says two phrases in robot mode. He says "My Name is Optimus Prime" and "Bring it On". Sorry the Headmaster doesn't fit on him. I have been wanting this figure forever. Ever since I first saw pictures of the prototype online I couldn't wait to get one and I did. For an honest 40-50 bucks get one.
Overall great toy, some minor dissatisfaction August 4, 2008 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
First off, I love this line of Animated transformers toys. Much more durable and easier to transform (fewer joints and pieces that fall off, IMO). They seem to be made with kids in mind, for a change.
The Optimus figure is cool enough. Can't say I'm a huge fan of the style of the semi that he turns into, but it's true to the animated series, so I can't fault the toy. Shelling out $50 for a toy, though, entitles me to gripe a bit about a couple of things that annoyed me:
1) within a day, his mouth plate stopped moving when you activate his sounds in robot mode. I replaced the batteries and find that I have to align the torso just right to get any wiggle at all out of his mouth, so my kid already says "he's broken".
2) The axe is cool and all, but it's heavy. I find his arm can only support the weight of it in one particular pose, or it gets all floppy and falls to his side.
3) it's pretty annoying to have to spin the torso half-a-dozen times to transform him into the truck. I understand the point was to make the truck-to-robot transformation cooler/easier, but it stinks going the other way.
A bit nit-picky, but again, you charge me $50 for a toy, and it better be right!
All-in-all, a nice, durable figure. MUCH easier to deal with than the Movie Optimus. These seem to be designed for kids to actually play with instead of just looking at them on a shelf.
Looking forward to the Ultra Magnus figure!
