Product Description The Thruster 385 makes cruising more fun because carving is made easy with thepatented Thruster Surf System truck set up. Completes come with 65mm 78A Amphibian wheels, Revenge trucks in the rear, the Thruster System with Tracker Racetracks in the front, clear "no-slip-grip" deck coat and ABEC 7 bearings. Each board is hand assembled in the USA and tested by veteran professional skaters before being packaged and shipped to you.

The Thruster 385 is a classic fish shape board. Deck design is very functional for street riding and looks nice but otherwise is not very special.
The front truck is what makes this board unique. The front truck is composed of a standard truck mounted to a spring-tensioned swing arm that is mounted to the board. This gives the board an amazingly short turning radius (about 2-1/2 feet!). This board carves like no other I have used.
The downside to amazing manueverability is instability. This board is not for bombing hills (i.e., going straight down steep hills). You can carve hills provided you control your speed through carving.
Pumping (i.e., gyrating to create forward momentum without pushing off the ground) is very easy on this board. Its pumps almost as easy as a Rip Stic but is much more solid through turns and is much smoother on asphault.
My only complaint is the stock wheels. I found the stock wheels too small for street cruising. Once I upgraded to 76mm Abec 11 Gumballs, I was much happier.
NOTE: if you are going to change to larger wheels you will need to add risers. If you do not increase clearance with risers, you will get wheel bite on hard carves.
