check OTHER sources for this product November 27, 2008 I just bought this identical item from the Hasbro site for $19.99. It was NOT on sale - just the regular price. If the manufacturer is only charging $19.99 RETAIL - WHY IN THE WORLD WOULD AMAZON EXPECT ANYONE TO PAY NEARLY DOUBLE THAT AMOUNT?? It's robbery!!! I've learned the hard way to CHECK OTHER SOURCES before buying from Amazon. I mainly use Amazon for customer reviews. I DO order from Amazon - but ONLY after making sure it's the best price. I don't know why but they have gotten worse with these outrageous prices lately. Be sure to check the customer satisfaction ratings on the vendors of these items on Amazon. I'll always pay a bit more for an item rather than buy it cheaper from a dealer who has terrible customer service. Bottom line - CHECK PRICES!!
DO NOT BUY FROM AMAZON August 28, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Straight from the HASBRO website, copied and pasted from right below the product info - Item #: 20252 Approx. Retail: $ 19.99 Ages: 5 & Up
This is an Amazon companies trend that I find infuriating.
Do yourselves a favor and research every product before buying from amazon. These people are crooks.
Great addition to your child's art center December 30, 2007 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
My four yr old daughter got this for christmas and loves it. It is made well; works well and is a product that does what it states it is supposed to do, so there was no disappointment after playing with it. My only "complaint" would be that they either give more papers and paint with the kit or tell you where to find refills as I am having a hard time finding them. I usually prefer to give my daughter a "free art" experience where in she creates the art on her own; and even though the spinner is creating the design, she is still a part of making that design and really enjoyed it. Very nice gift idea and entertaining. Interesting to see how each time the designs come out differently.
Amazing Fun! Worth every penny! December 28, 2007 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
After buying the total junk "Rose Art Hover Paint & Spin" (which I returned 5 minutes out of the box), I broke down for twice the cost and got this toy. *It is worth every extra penny*
It's AMAZING! You can get started painting (and dancing!) in less than 30 seconds right out of the box. No complicated instructions, no flimsy parts...it even comes loaded with 4 C batteries! From there, it's nothing but "Ooooo's" and "Ahhhh's".
I can't tear my daughter (OR my husband and I) away from it!! It has mesmerizing variations of neon light shows and a number of different (non-annoying) music modes.
I swear, I can say enough positive things about this toy. You have to buy one for yourself to appreciate my enthusiasm.
Can't get my 6 year old away from this! October 12, 2007 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
My 6 year old son got this for Christmas 2006. He loves it and could just sit and listen to the music and strobe light forever. Right now I'm trying to find some re-fill paint and paper.
