Model Magic Bucket April 29, 2006 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
When you first open it you'll find its very soft. My best creations are balls so far. You can make a braid then roll it into a ball. You can make amazing critters and use all colors in the critters. Amazing toy!
Great stuff! March 18, 2006 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
Crayola Model Magic is a really nice product. Much easier to use than traditional modelling clays. It is lightweight and just plain fun to work with. Different colors knead easily into a blended color making Model Magic useful for teaching color mixing.

Amazing Material for Animation September 9, 2005 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
This stuff is incredible. It's a soft, clean, dry "clay" that molds easily and dries to be as lightweight as styrofoam. For clay animation, its very useful for creating props or parts of puppets that need mass. Since its so much lighter than modeling clay, you can build up your puppet with Model magic first. Then once its dry you can costume the puppet and cover the exposed areas in clay. A tip: plasticine modeling clay doesn't stick to dry Model Magic very well. Wrap a sheet of tinfoil over the Model magic first to make a "skin" that the clay sticks to securely. You can also paint it or color it with regular markers.
Note: very thin pieces of Model magic break off of dry sculptures. Avoid making long extended pieces from your sculpture, unless you can put wire inside, like a chenille stem.
Magic Indeed August 11, 2005 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
My 10 year old loves this stuff. He sculpts characters and then writes stories about them so it's very high on our list of creative playthings. The white clay can be mixed with Crayola's washable markers to make other colors and the packaging keeps it fresh. Great for packing on trips, too!
