Love this tracing desk ~ Great for giving kids confidence in their art skills December 9, 2006 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this quite awhile ago & my daughter just loves it. She used to cry when she had to do homework art projects and reports. With the use of this tracing desk she has been complimented so much on her art work, that she enjoys those same projects now. She now spends much more time on her drawing and her confidence has grown by leaps and bounds. She recently won 2nd place in a peace poster contest held by the Lions Club. (she did not use the tracing desk for this.) I think this is great for kids, to get them drawing what they want, fast, then they can take those skills a step farther. I would recommend it to all school aged children.
very nice and useful March 17, 2006 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
Husband is tattoo artist and this has proved very useful for him
Ok but.... March 15, 2006 I bought this because of a review that said it was perfect to use for making cards, Well... It is marginal at best. The light only illuminates a 1/4 of the work surface that being the area directly above the small bulb. As for a kid using it it is fine as they aren't concerned too much about their work area!
Good, simple fun August 15, 2005 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
This product produced a few hours of fun for my 7-year-old daughter. She was attracted to the included, tracable clothing patterns. The product uses "D" batteries, which provide a long lasting, strong light. Since this is basically a light table, it works best with thin paper where the image is only on one side. A small pad of tracing paper is included and everything fits back into the 12" x 11" x 2.25" container. My only concern is the ability to leave the light on and run the batteries down. I recommend it for any child between ages 6 and 8. It can also come in handy for adults.
Just what the boy wanted. July 28, 2005 9 out of 9 found this review helpful
My son is an artist already in full bloom. He wanted a light box so bad, he could taste it. Unfortunately, his mother wasn't up to paying art supply-store prices for one. Then I found this Crayola desk. It fit the bill EXACTLY without breaking the bank. Safe to say that the boy is over the moon about it.
