Product Description Perfect for your little explorer! Dora's Talking House opens and transforms to reveal a second floor. Six areas around the house have active sounds, music, lights, and bi-lingual phrases. Three articulated figures are included (Dora, Mama, and Papi) and a couch. Built-in furniture for the living room and kitchen make it hard to lose pieces! Recommended for ages 3 and up. Three AA batteries are included and are replaceable.
Editorial Review Raise the roof with Dora the Explorer! This huge dollhouse not only talks--it's bilingual! Unfold the sturdy plastic house to reveal several rooms, plus a second story upstairs. Press the picture frame to hear Dora talk about her family, or open the fridge to hear about how hungry she is. Six different accessories can be manipulated to produce more than 20 phrases or songs in both English and Spanish. The house is only partially furnished with built-in kitchen appliances and table, boom box and picture in living room, phone on one wall, mirror in bathroom, and miscellaneous illustrations of shelves in the bedrooms. Dora, her Mama, her Papi, and their couch are included. Also, this Toys "R" Us exclusive version comes with three bonus figures--Diego, Boots, and Swiper. Additional accessories and furniture must be purchased separately. Still, from the ringing doorbell to the oven that lights up and talks, la casa de Dora es espléndida. When open, the house is three feet wide by one and a half feet tall. --Emilie Coulter

Great Gift For Dora Lovers March 11, 2007 This was well worth my money, but its an expensive purchase after you get the accessory which are about $15 dollars a set but its worth it when a child's face lights up and appreciates it.
Dora house January 20, 2007 My daughters like this house but it doesn't hold all of the furniture when it's closed. But other then that it is a really cool item. It's got neat stuff that turns into something else and they discover them as they play.
Dora's house June 2, 2006 My daughter has wanted this toy for a long time. We gave it to her for her fifth birthday. She has been playing with it and all the furniture for long periods of time alone and also with her seven year old sister and my eight year old son even thinks it is cool. It has alot of surprises which they keep discovering as they play. I just wish the furniture fit in when you closed it up for storage.
A great toy that could be a little better. March 7, 2006 My daughter loves Dora and loves this house. The talking parts are great; each generates at least two different sentences using both English and Spanish.
I love how easily the house folds down for storage, though the button can be a little tricky for children.
The house comes with several characters and a sofa. My one critisism would be that it seems very incomplete with only one piece of furniture. I would have been happy to spend more money and get a second or third piece of furniture with the house.
Of course, one can buy sets of furniture, and we have, but the toy was not as interesting or play friendly without another set. If you are giving it as a gift, consider purchasing another set of furniture right away to give with the it.
Overall, a well built, interesting toy that encourages independent play.
Many hours of fun..... March 1, 2006 My four year old has loved this house. We purchased some of the accessory pieces, and furniture to expand the fun. She and her friends have spent many hours playing with the set. (...)
