Daughter loves it. January 1, 2009 Great little doll!
Pay no attention to the morons who are hearing what they want to hear.
To me it sounds more like "Is light is the light".
The doll can be activated by light, so it makes sense.
If you are not a muslim don't buy it December 23, 2008 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
This doll is a hidden muslim propaganda. If you don't want your children to subconsciously be indoctrinated don't buy this doll.
Missing the mark on this toy - not great December 14, 2008 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
I think everyone is missing the mark with their reviews of this toy. Aside from the Islamic conspiracies, this toy is a great toy for the value. My only issue with it is that fact that the clothes and hat are not removable. Who cares? Well, as a father of a little girl who is attached to this thing since getting it a week ago, I DO! She got sick last night and now I have a doll that smells like vomit that I cannot pry from my little girl's arms. I have tried "surface cleaning" it as the tags says but that does not take the odor out. I have tried using Febreeze, etc with no success. Is this a great toy? Yes, as long as your kids never get sick or dirty.
I didn't hear it until I was told to hear it December 13, 2008 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
I bought the doll, brought it home, sat in a house with three adults, and all we heard was babbling and cooing. I came online to see if there was a way to turn the doll off without removing it from the package (it's a gift... and a very odd gift it would be giggling and cooing!) and I found the subliminal message debate.
Truly, all I heard was baby babbling sounds until I read it was saying something else.
I believe Mattel. I didn't hear it until i was told what I was hearing. Besides, if she's really giving us a subliminal message, she's blowing spit bubbles while saying it so I think she's not being serious at all. :P
Now, does anyone know how to turn it off without taking it out of the packaging? I already freaked out any number of people at the store by abandoning my cart at the end of aisles with a moving cooing infant inside of it :P
No subliminal message, other than "I want you to raise grandchildren for me when you grow up" December 10, 2008 2 out of 5 found this review helpful
I believe that you hear the toy saying weird stuff, but this doesn't mean that it is actually saying them. It is just a play of human neural system on your perception. If you don't tell people what they should be hearing, they wouldn't be able to make those words out of the baby-coo playing from the doll.
Here's a demonstration of how it works: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8T_jwq9ph8k#t=9m10s
Hope it helps to demystify the conspiracy :)
Five stars to the toy for its educational value. Not every toy can teach you about the limits of human neural system :)
