Amazon briefly sold the caucassion dolls for $18.99 each. I bought one of the caucassion dolls because my granddaughter really wanted this doll but I would have preferred to purchase the Black Doll but it was six times as much. I did phone Amazon and they suggested it was the level of demand but I don't buy it.
Blacks and Latinos tend to spend more money on nonessentials and trendy items. That is why the ethnic dolls were created. The disparity in the way these dolls are priced is shameful and blacks and latinos should not buy them at these prices.

Why did I just spend $60.00 at WalMart for a Caucasian doll exactly like this one along with the extra diapers, food and drinks and here I find this "bonus pack" for more than double that amount because the doll is African American? This makes me want to take the doll back. It costed the manufacturer $80.00 more to add some paint and black hair to the doll? Maybe someone out there can help me out but I see this as discriminatory isolation at it's best. BTW..no rating because I have not opened the doll yet.
