4 year old loves this phone July 10, 2007 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
This phone is expensive and doesn't give many options on programmable favorites, hobbies, etc. as other reviewers have stated. Personally, I was not very impressed with it, but my 4 year old daughter LOVES this phone and is so impressed that it knows her friends and brothers names. She has had hers since Christmas and it works perfectly. It does call her just like it should. It sounds just like a real phone ringing so it sometimes confuses family members (thinking the real phone is ringing). I think this toy would be most appropriate for a 2-5 year old. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because it has such limited options when it comes to programming it.
Barbie I-Know-You Smart Phone January 18, 2007 I bought this product for my niece for Christmas. So far, she has absolutely loved it. She already had all kinds of Barbie toys including Barbie dolls, Barbie doll houses, and a Barbie electric car that she drives around. However, my sister told me that my niece has enjoyed this one the most out of all of them b/c she interacts with this toy. Quality of product is excellent. However, from what I have been told by my sister and brother-in-law, the set up of this product is a little difficult with the computer. But, after getting everything set up, they informed me that it was pretty amazing at all the things this product can do to entertain a 5 year old child.
What a piece of garbage! January 2, 2007 4 out of 6 found this review helpful
This toy is the most useless piece of junk that we have ever purchased. It really does NOTHING worthwhile - makes a dumb phone call every hour or so when you ask, Barbie says one or two words and THAT'S IT! This toy does NOTHING else.
I can't believe what a rip off this thing is and that Mattel would find it worthwhile to sell to the public.
If I could give this thing zero stars, I would.
For the money, it could be better January 2, 2007 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
The pull down menus are pretty limited for the childs favorite animals, interests, etc. For family/friends names, they have a wide variety of spellings of the same sounding name, even though you only hear the name. The lists are made up of mostly girls names (couldn't find Lyle). Guess I should have known, but Barbie spouts mostly Valley Girlish sentences - they could have given her more of a brain. But, my 3 1/2 hear old is amazed that Barbie knows something about her and her friends, favorite foods, etc.
Useless December 27, 2006 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
This is the worse product we received this entire Christmas season. For $42.99 you would expect the toy to work for at least one day... it has never worked. I replaced the batteries, but that didn't help. We used the included PC software to customize the phone for my daughter, and downloaded the information to the phone. The phone never "calls" her, and when she tries to play with it, the sound is either very VERY faint, or the "conversation" with Barbie doesn't make any sense - sometimes she just says one word and that's it.
