With Butterscotch, your girl will feel like she is interacting with a living, breathing pony. Butterscotch is soft to the touch, with a fur coat and mane that feel just like a real pony. Her markings and color are modeled after a Shetland pony. Butterscotch also has built-in sensors all over her body, which enable her to respond to children in amazingly lifelike ways. If talked to, she will cock her head toward the speaker quizzically and blink her eyes. She will also react to petting, showing her enjoyment by rubbing her head against your child, twitching her ears, and swishing her tail. In addition to her convincing movements, Butterscotch also makes a medley of different sounds. She'll neigh and whinny just like a real pony, and snort when she wants attention.  Butterscotch Pony-Christmas Hit January 6, 2009
This pony is amazing. We purchased it for our 3 year old granddaughter, but it was the hit of Christmas to adults as well. It seems so real. Tikes will need a stool to mount their Pony. Very sweet. We also purchased Kota the dinosaur for our grandson and it cannot compare to the Hasbro FurReal pets.

We purchased this for our granddaughter. It was very easy to put together. It appears to be made of good quality. I can't explain how much she loves and feeds the pony everyday. Great find.

We Bought Butterscotch For Our Granddaughter For Christmas And When We Received It And Tried It Out We Were Amazed At How Life-Like It Really Was! Our Granddaughter Loved It!

Yes, my husband and I thought this a bit of an extravagance but like a lot of little girls, our daughter loves horses. Our daughter turned 6 shortly before receiving Butterscotch & I was afraid that she might be too big for her. Butterscotch was larger than I had anticipated so I think (hope) my daughter will enjoy this toy for a long, long time. I can anticipate one day Butterscotch's mechanical sounds making her seem old-fashioned, (as technology continues its rapid development), but for now, Butterscotch truly is amazing. There are times when she really does seem lifelike! She startled me one day when I was walking past her and she moved her head in my direction. See if your heart doesn't melt just a little when she looks at you with those big, dark eyes and bats those lovely lashes and flicks her tail. As other reviewers warned, the package does arrive without being contained in another box and there is a big picture of Butterscotch on one side and on the top of the box. The UPS person kindly faced the side with the photo towards the house (I wasn't at home when it arrived) so that my daughter - and anyone else walking down the street - could not see what was in the box just by glancing at it. Butterscotch is a big hit at our house and I'm glad we made this purchase.
What a Hit! December 31, 2008
My five year old daughter received this pony as a Christmas gift from her grandparents. It was the very last thing brought in after every other gift had been opened. The squeal of delight and my daughter's face brought tears to my eyes. Butterscotch definitely provided a magical Christmas moment that I will never forget. We could not get my 40 year old brother-in-law away from it! This toy was worth every penny. I feel so lucky to have found it on sale at Amazon, but it would still be worth it at the regular price.
