Product Description As the loyal companion of Princess Annaliese, Serafina has a lot to say. With animated cat-like movements and more than two minutes of speech, this fluffy friend takes interacting to new heights. Using watermark technology, the plush kitty "intelligently" responds to key moments in the movie when it's being played on the television. Serafina even "sings along" to parts of the 10-minute audio CD that comes packaged with her. This talented cat has soft, white fur and beautiful blue eyes with long lashes. She comes with her own collar locket and a little tiara. Play with Serafina in play mode, and listen to her purr when you stroke her. While in video mode, Serafina will interact with the included CD. Requires 3 "AA" batteries (included) for Serafina and one 9V battery (not included) for the jewelry box. Measures 15"L x 5.5"W x 12.75"H
Editorial Review Serafina, the pampered snowy-white companion of Princess Anneliese, certainly does not lack self-esteem. This chatty kitty burbles over with more than 75 one-liners, including, I am quite the talented kitty, and I love looking pretty. Squeeze her paw, stroke her back, kiss her nose, and Serafina responds with words, songs, purrs, head tosses, tail wags, and, of course, meows. Additionally, when her human friends set up Serafina's jewelry box next to a CD player and insert Serafina's Adventure (included), signals from the CD and jewelry box cause Serafina to do her feline thing! She'll also respond to the Barbie as The Princess and the Pauper and other Serafina DVDs and videos. Measuring a good 22 inches from pink-tipped ears to long fluffy tail, Serafina has blue eyes, a gem-studded crown, and a matching heart-shaped locket, as well as a brush to keep that lush pelt sleek and smooth. Her jewelry box requires one 9-volt battery (not included), and Kitty herself requires three AA batteries (Try Me batteries included, but you'll need fresh ones). --Emilie Coulter

Nice Idea, but could not keep my kid engaged January 4, 2007 With all the rest of Xmas hype around, this present was started and left aside after 10 mins. Nice idea, interesting set up - just not compelling enough for a 7 year old.
My daughter loves this toy... August 28, 2006 I read some of the reviews and was a little surprised. I think the interactive Serafina is absolutely adorable! Even without all the mechanics she is as sweet as could be. My daughter carries her everywhere and the cat's tail sticks straight out so people do a double-take when they see her carrying it! I didn't have any problems with the cat working. She purrs and swishes her tail and will periodically belt out a few phrases from the movie. You press her paw and she will ask you to kiss her nose, and she reacts when you kiss it. The CD that is included interacts with Serafina and she will move her head and tail and say some phrases when prompted by the CD. I haven't tested it yet with the movie but other reviewers said it seemed to work. I just bought mine so I will be curious to see how long the batteries will last. One flaw is that you have to manually turn the cat on and off. They should have made it so the cat will turn on/off by itself when activated like most interative toys. My daughter loves it and that is why I am rating it 5 stars. Not to mention I am a cat lover and think the toy is pretty darn cute! I could see why other people would be disappointed if the cat didn't work, but mine seems to be working like it should. I think the cat is a great buy! I paid $15 for it and feel it is worth every penny.
Didn't work right out of the box! April 14, 2006 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
I bought this cat for my daughter after much anticipation and we were very dissappointed! Most of the cat's phrases are garbled and makes her sound demonized! We thought it was the batteries at first so we put new ones in but it still didn't work! FRUSTRATION! The cat could be soooo cute if it actually worked properly! The wiring is obviously not in right and it is too hard to get at with the huge battery pack in the way. Overall,I believe it could have been a great toy so buy one and pray that yours works. If it doesn't, return it.
Not worth it... March 8, 2006 4 out of 6 found this review helpful
This toy was a mistake right out of the box..In other words, it didn't work right out of the box. My daughter and I were so disapointed, don't waste your money even if it is only 10$, which is what I paid for it..............
This toy sux. March 5, 2006 3 out of 7 found this review helpful
This sux. My lil sis got it 4 christmas and only two of her 'phrases' are actually in the "serfina" voice. The others aren't. She was like that when we took her outta da box. we tried new batteries and it diddnt work. don't by this 4 ur kid. (I tried to give it 0 starz but it wouldn't let me). I'm all for Barbie but this diddn't work and it sux. DON'T MAKE UR KID SUFFER! DON'T BUY IT! BUY THEM SOMETHING ELSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! did ne1 listen?
