Makes morning wake up much easier January 2, 2008 My daughter loves this toy. It is not really a toy though; it is actually an alarm clock which makes morning in our household much more pleasant. The alarm is a no-brainer to set, which is good because I have to re-set the alarm nightly since it is really easy for my daughter to mess with the buttons. For those times when she want to make the puppy bark, I can just set it on "Try Me" mode so she can squeeze the paw and it will bark. The fur is really soft, but the body under the fur, especially the bum, is pretty hard ... I'm not quite sure how impact resistant it is, I guess time will tell. I'm very happy with the purchase.
Makes for Happy Mornings! December 2, 2007 My 7-year-old daughter got this for Christmas last year and loves it! When it wakes her up, she is always happy (no more grumpy mornings -- really). Clock and alarm aren't the easiest to set, but OK once you get the hang of it. Did not wake up my child in the next room.
Rescue Pets Wake Me Up Spaniel November 23, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is not a toy in my eyes. It IS an alarm clock that just happens to be CUTE and cuddly! My daughter received this last Christmas, she was 5. Almost one year later she still adores it. It wakes her up for school in the morning with its little bark. I think it is more appropriate for a child than a plugged in clock radio. It will wake them up with a smile and they have something to cuddle through the night. I highly recommend this product to those with little ones who love stuffed animals. It is so nice to have at least one stuffed animal that has a purpose!!
Adorable, a little complex, can't adjust volume April 11, 2007 My 8yo dd got this from her grandma. She wanted it so bad. She loved it when she got, it's so soft and squishy, and so cute. She's used it the first few mornings, but says she doesn't want to use it anymore because it scares her when it barks. I'm sure this is just a personality quirk. We've tried putting it in different places in the room so it's not loud, which it's not really loud anyway, but that doesn't make a difference. We also have had a time with setting the alarm properly. There are two on/off switches and the dogs legs don't seem to go into the right position every time it is set, so I never know for sure the alarm will go off. This has been our experience.
Rescue wake me up spaniel Really works. March 22, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
My Daughter has wanted this since christmas. I would have gotten it sooner had I known it would really wake a 6 year old up to get ready for school. She looks foward to setting her alarm every night and knows to rise and shine when the dog does. I would say the ony negative is that my dogs are a little jealous and bark at the rescue pet when it wakes up!
