Christmas gift December 26, 2008 Bought 2 of these as Christmas gifts for a 13 month old and a 2 year old. Part plastic, part wood that's been sanded very smooth, very nicely contructed. Fat pieces that small hands can grab. Colorful and the house and people are just the right size for a small child. I have no doubt that the recipients will enjoy their dollhouses and that it will hold up to their play. I am not familiar with the company who produces these but I trust buying through Amazon. I was pleased with this purchase and would likely buy this again should the need arise.
Toddler's Delight and What a Deal November 28, 2008 We got this for our daughter last year for Christmas at twice the price that is showing now and it is one of her favorite toys. She loves the people (we bought additional people) and the pieces are easy to manage and not too tiny. In fact, I think this is the only dollhouse I found that was for under 3. It is very durable (except she did break the table recently) and well worth the bargain price I'm seeing now. Way better than the Little People sets, in my opinion.
Great dollhouse November 6, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
My 22 month old daughter has had this dollhouse for 2 months now and still plays with it almost every day. We have a lot of toys and this is the only one she requests when it is put away. Initially, I thought it was too small because it has only 2 small floors and a few pieces of furniture, but none of that matters to her. It's a great size for other figures from other brands and because it's so simple, any other doll works with the furniture (e.g., there are no awkward shaped chairs to sit in, just flat-bottomed chairs).
My daughter's 1st Playhouse! August 13, 2008 We just got this last night from toy r us on clearance and so far my 23 month old daughter really loves it. It comes with a little book that plays sounds and she enjoys ringing the door bell on the book and also by the front door. I think its really important to start to buy things that can help aid in her imagination. Pretend play is so much fun and I know from experience that things like playhouses will be played with for years. This one has great wooden figures and it seems really well made so far. You don't have to put it together, just add the steps on the front of the house and put in the furniture. I will continue to buy more figures and toys from Play Town since they are interchangable.
