We really liked the look of this colorful board, with its cheerful blue, green, red, and orange "premium" squares. We also appreciated the way the set folds up into a carrying case, complete with the storage trays and handle. It's not advertised as a travel set, but you can use it that way. You just have to be careful to hold the set closed when transporting it, since it doesn't snap shut. Also, the storage trays can get a little full when you try to put all the letters and racks in one tray, so make sure you tuck everything neatly into the tray so it will close. Fantastic Travel Game January 6, 2009
I actually purchased this as a gift for my mom. My parents have retired and plan to travel frequently. Mom loves Scrabble and she was thrilled with this game. They have been playing it frequently since Christmas and cannot wait to take it on a trip.

I love this game. I bought it for my parents. They travel alot by car and in an RV so this was perfect to grab and go. The drawers that hold the tiles and the stands are so great, keeps everthing together with out the hassel of trying to keep a box in good shape. The raised board keeps the tiles in place during the game even when traveling down the road. It was a perfect gift.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised that there are some super-serious-Scrabble-sticklers bringing down this 5-star product.
This is a great twist on the usual boring box game. The design actually invites play! What a concept. I enjoy word games and crossword puzzles and Scrabble puts that in a more social setting, and this edition of the game puts that in a portable package that brings others to the table.
The case/board is solidly constructed, and the drawers that keep the tiles, rails and rulebooks are very handy. You can set this game up in 2 minutes or less- making this game surprisingly spontaneous. The new rule book is well written and seems formatted almost like a video game manual, the helpful hints really aid new or rusty players. Scrabble is a great game and this edition is a great presentation of that game.
LOVED IT A++ December 31, 2008
This was a great purchse. So much easier to play than the old style board, it spins and it has raised plastic where the tiles go, holds them in well. My family and I love it!
