Amazon.com Review From Hasbro, the Nerf Dart Tag Hyperfire Deluxe 2-Player Blaster Set includes everything you need for fast-paced battles and action-packed contests. Featuring two Hyperfire blasters that hold 10 darts each for rapid firing, and two Micro Blasters for close-range sneak attacks, this set is sure to keep kids eight and up on their toes and having fun. | What We Think Fun Factor:
Durability: (what this means)
The Good: Four blasters with an awesome range can be accurately aimed
The Bad: Small darts are easy to lose
In a Nutshell: This Nerf Blaster provides kids and adults with hours of fun | At a Glance Ages: 8 and up | | |
Colorful Hyperfire Blasters can hold 10 darts at a time. View larger. | A Whole New Game of Tag Getting ready for battle is quick and easy. Strap on an adjustable scoring vest and slip on your sleek, Vision Gear glasses. Then load your blaster up with foam darts and take aim at your opponent. Forget laser-tag games that burn through batteries and simpler foam dart guns that require you to reload after every shot. A Hyperfire Blaster can hold 10 darts at a time, and with an auto-advance barrel, you can get lots of shots off quickly. Whether you play indoors with couch cushion forts offering you cover, or outdoors in an open field, there's lots of different ways you can strategize against your opponents. Take as many shots as you can right away, or wait until your opponent is low on ammo and get in a single, perfectly aimed blow. One really great feature is the way darts actually stick to the included vests, so you never have to argue about whether or not you've scored a hit. Micro Blasters that hold one dart each and offer a shorter range add to your strategic options. Dramatic, Fast-Paced Play It is critical to give a little thought to the field of play before a game begins. The Hyperfire Blasters have a surprising long range, and they shoot darts with an impressive amount of force. Even though the darts are made of soft foam, if you take a lot of shots at close range your opponent probably won't want to play again. Similarly, fragile items could be broken if you hit them directly. So it's a good idea to test your gun before the first battle so that you can estimate how much space you'll need to play. Let's face it, even adults love Nerf guns. So, in addition to inspiring competitive friends and siblings to spend time together, this set provides a great way for parents and kids to play together. Our one real complaint is that, even though this set is lots of fun for older kids and adults, the safety glasses and the scoring vests are sized only for younger players. And while the included glasses are well made with a pleasant orange tint, they aren't very adjustable. So if they aren't comfortable or secure, you might want to replace them with protective eyewear of your own. Overall, it's hard to imagine having more fun than we had with these Hyperfire Blasters. We do suspect that it would be pretty easy to lose some of the 24 included darts, especially if you play outdoors on a windy day or in a cluttered basement. Fortunately, you can buy refill packs to replace lost darts or to extend the length of game play. What's in the Box Two large blasters, two micro blasters, two scoring vests, two sets of safety glasses, and 24 micro darts.

Nerf Dart Tag--A lot of fun; but could be better January 6, 2009 I bought this for my twin nephews for Christmas and they were estatic when they opened the box! They have also had a lot of fun with it since.
Pros:
--The toy guns that come with it are a great value.
--A fun game that can keep two kids busy and not sitting down at the television set.
--I felt it was a neat and unique gift, versus a lego set (which are great too), Nintendo DS game, etc.
Cons (and recommendations):
--The vests that come with the set are kind of "cheap looking" They really should cover the person better. It is just a little vest type thing that goes over the head and connects with a string-like thing that has velcro at the ends. For larger children this can be a problem and it really doesn't even cover the full upper body whatsoever. It only covers the very front of the chest and the back. So if the children are hit on the side, it wouldn't count (unless they are VERY honest).
--Be sure to have your children wear the glasses to protect their eyes. The guns do seem rather powerful.
--Definitely purchase an additional set of darts. There are only a few that come with the set.
Overall I do recommend this for a nice gift that will be used for a little while. It could definitely be improved upon as far as the vests go. But the dart guns alone are worth the price.
Hours of Fun!!! January 6, 2009 I don't think I have ever enjoyed one of my son's toys this much! The whole family has played dart tag for hours on end since Christmas! The only thing I don't like is having to reset the guns after every shot, but semi-automatic dart guns aren't that important. ;) My son really likes this set. And you can't beat the price! I was shocked at how much you get for so little. The little pistols are very handy as well.
Wild and crazy fun for the kids (and grown ups) January 6, 2009 This dart tag game was a bargain and the kids just love it. I purchased extra darts because of how fast paced the play can be. It is a wild time and you need to make sure that you dart proof breakables (like pictures on mantles) just in case things get really crazy. I had kids from 7 to 28 playing dart tag. The younger ones got the goggles (recommended) and it was dart tag mania.
Are the kids really having fun with a toy? January 2, 2009 My 10 and 8 year had a blast with this toy. My sons are video game freaks, I couldn't believe it when they really enjoyed playing with this. Gets them moving, interacting with each other. Lots of fun. Replacement darts can also be found in stores. Comes with 2 large guns, 2 smaller ones, two vests and two glasses. Darts also stick to other fabric so that is also fun. Lots of toys out there have been real duds for the past couple of years and they get really bored with them fast.
Nerf Dart Tag Hyperfire Deluxe Player Blaster Ser December 31, 2008 Lots of fun. My 5 year old is able to cock back the small gun and fire, the big gun is too difficult for her. Be carefull the darts are still capable of hurting eyes, make sure kids are wearing the googles. I love seeing toys that get kids outside and running around. I bought this at $19.99. The only bad part is that the dartss are not very sturdy and will probably not last very long. The replacement darts are a little expensive. Otherwise this is a great buy at $19.99 with 4 guns.
