Fun Toy! January 6, 2009 Fun toy for my 4 yr old grand daughter. Must remember to wash once in awhile so water and bubbles dont build up and let her hair dry. Little pieces might want to be took out of the bath for later play. Not for long term use I believe but for now it is doning the job of a great bath toy.
Here's Dora Meets Chucky May 16, 2008 17 out of 20 found this review helpful
My husband bought Suds and Surprise Dora for our 5 and 2 year old daughters. Dora does successfully attach to the tub, the refrigerator, the windows, and anywhere else they put her. They enjoyed playing with Dora's hair a few times, but now we use Dora differently at my house because...Surprise Dora is incredibly CREEPY. Her hair looks great in the picture, but in reality it is coarse, messy, uneven, and it falls out in clumps. Worse, it looks like she ran into Chucky because she's missing her lower body. She's not "anatomically correct, ya' know".
This top half (with its baldspots) pops up unexpectedly in different areas of my house. Usually, it's the bathtub, and it's very upsetting when I walk into the bathroom, flip on the light, and see her laying on the bottom of the tub. I have literally jumped and yelped as my brain tried to process the visualization. Several times I have thought for a moment that the body laying in the tub is my 2 year old who is about the same size (except she has two halves) and has the same color, style, and length of hair (without the bald spots). Half-Dora also shows up "sitting" on top of counters and in other places that creep me out.
I'd like to mention that none of the other dolls we have cause nightmares and that my husband gets freaked about Chucky-Dora, too. In fact, we now enjoy using her to try to scare each other. Last week, he put Saran wrap over the toilet seat and placed Chucky-Dora on top. So I hung her from a belt in his closet.
made my 3 y/o happy! March 16, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
We got this for our 3y/o as a reward and she is absolutely in love! The only downfalls we can find is that, it appears to float in the water on the stand in the commercials but it doesn't really. It has a little stand that suction cups to the side of the tub. Not a big deal for us though b/c our daughter would rather sit at the table and do her hair/makeup. The other problem is that the 'disappearing' butterflies, and make up doesn't seem to go away and is constantly there. We have to run the spot to make it disapper and then our little girl puts the cold water on to make it come back. Overall she's played with it more than I ever imagined!! It's been a hit at this house since we got it 3 weeks ago!
