fun at first, then disappointment November 27, 2008 cute and camera worked fine for a while. memory card very small though. games were quite fun. couple months later and, kaput. nothing works. urgh.
Great idea--bad camera! November 20, 2008 We paid $80 for this camera and have tried to make it work--calling back Polaroid for a 3rd time. After looking at these reviews--it's obvious that this is a lemon. It will take 6 pictures with flash and the new batteries are gone. That is the worse problem. The pictures are a bit blurry, but it would be okay if you could take more pictures than for a couple minutes. I'm going to try lithium batteries as someone recommended to see if somehow we can salvage this expensive mistake. Polaroid customer service also won't do anything--offer credits or allow us to pay for an upgrade. It's very disappointing.
horrible product November 20, 2008 I found this camera on clearance for $20.00. I bought two, one for my son and one for a friend. My son received his for his birthday, and he enjoyed it for a few minutes. He didn't drop it or mishandle it in any way, yet the Off/Camera/Game switch broke and stuck the camera permanently on and in game mode. We opened the camera we were keeping for a gift, and that one just reset continuously. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone.
Extremely Disappointed November 9, 2008 We got this camera for my 4 year old for Christmas last year and have been extremely disappointed. The camera doesn't feel nearly as sturdy as Fisher Prices kids camera; despite it being a 3.0 MP model pictures come out very poor (blurry, pixelated); battery life is very short. The on/off button is touchy in that the camera position is in the middle and needs to be situated just right to work. More often than not you push right past the camera setting to the stupid games position. The games are worthless except to waste battery life. I don't even know what genius thought thought a camera needed games on it. Overall, extremely disappointed in this camera and we've been looking for another one. Build quality and design are poor and picture quality is bad.
DO NOT BUY THIS!!!!! November 8, 2008 This is the worst purchase I've made in a long time. Usually I check reviews before buying but I saw this at Target on "clearance," reduced from 89.99 to 59.99 and I thought I was getting a deal. Fat chance. Now I read on here another guy only paid $19.95 at Target - and he felt he wasted his money, too.
The battery life is awful. Within 2 minutes of turning it on, the "low battery" indicator comes on. My daughter can take about 10 pictures and it is dead. Then, you have to undo 2 tiny screws to change the batteries (typical on kid toys but not when you have to do it every 30 minutes!). As a result, she has only played with it twice in 2 months. Going to try to return it, but it is now open and I don't have the packaging; I doubt I'll be successful as Target is pretty strict and I took too long. Oh, well. Hopefully someone else will read this and it will save you!! DON'T GET THIS CAMERA!!! FYI all the things other people said, the terrible pictures, etc are all true as well - it is just the battery thing that I hate the most. Even if the pics were bad, my 5 year old would play with it. But she can't play with it if it is dead.
