5 out of 5 stars It's a Christmas gift for my niece.   December 3, 2008
I saved more than double by purchasing this from Amazon! Can't wait to give this to my niece for Chrismas. It's one of the hottest toys out there now & I know she will love it.

4 out of 5 stars My daughter enjoys it!   November 29, 2008

I don't think this deserves as terrible reviews it has gotten. Yes, the picture quality is not great, and it has other limitations, but overall my daughter (almost 3) enjoys it and asks to play with it fairly frequently. I think that as long as you don't have super high expectations, this toy is totally fine. It is a basic camera with background music and some graphics of characters dancing. It is fun for her to see herself on the TV, she like following along with the dance moves, and I have fun dancing along with her. I would not pay $50 for it, but $25 is totally reasonable.

1 out of 5 stars Piece of Crap   November 27, 2008

We were so excited to buy this for our daughters who love to dance.. BIG disappointment - the picture of the quality was POOR (and we had it on a small flat screen as recommended on the box) Fuzzy picture, pixelated and kept going from black and white to color due to a bad wire.. The music and settings are ANNOYING..
We returned it the next day for a refund.. dont waste your money, dont disappoint your children!

1 out of 5 stars Save your money, NOT worth it   November 24, 2008

I bought this item on Amazon for $20 something dollars and return it a few days after it was delivered to me because it sucks! I bought it because the price was decent and how they advertised the product it seem really fun for my child. This toy is over priced and the quality is very cheap. I read many poor reviews on this product but I didn't listen and it was just a hassle to return it back. It's not even worth the discounted price I paid for. My child have to stand only in one place for you to even see her on screen and if she only moves forward or to the side, you can't see her. When they dance they can't stand glue to one place, they move around. When I could see her, it was blurry. Might as well just record her on a camcorder with the music in the background and replay it for her. She'll get excited watching herself on screen and it will save you money.

2 out of 5 stars Great Concept, Poor Quality Product   September 13, 2008

I saw this toy at Wal-mart, and I thought it would be the perfect toy for my three-year-old. There was no price on the shelf, so I took it up to the register and about had a heart attack when I heard the price. However, I figured since my son has some birthday money from relatives, I would try it out because I really thought it would be a hit toy.

My three-year-old really does like the toy. It has three dance modes. One is called "Dance Along" and has 18 toddler favorites, each with a different "animation." I assumed these songs would be good quality music (since the camera costs $50!), but the songs are cheesy electronic keyboard music with no words. I didn't even recognize several of the songs when I first heard them, although I did figure them out later when I read the instruction manual. It would have been nice if there was a mode that had songs with words. The second mode is Cool Moves and has four songs with characters that teach kids simple dance moves. Again, while this concept is cool, the graphics are horrible! They look like they are ten years old and have fuzzy (bitmapped) edges. The third mode is Freestyle and has no "animations." You're supposed to be able to plug in the camera to a CD player or MP3 player so that you can play any music through your TV. Our CD player worked, but our MP3 player did not.

Even thought I was pretty disappointed with the quality of the songs and graphics (and the MP3 player not working), my son still got a kick out of seeing himself dance on TV, so I was considering keeping it. After this morning, though (our second time using it), it's definitely going back. I discovered that when there is any light (even filtered light-we have blinds on our windows) coming from windows, and it's not even a sunny day here, the pictures quality is terrible. There's a terrible glare, and the camera displays a very fuzzy picture. We tried all different angles and positions of the camera, but no matter what we tried, the light from the windows still affected the image. We didn't have this image quality problem at night when we just had our overhead light on, but why would I keep a product I can't use during the day?

Bottom line: Don't waste your money or disappoint your kids. We can eat for at least 4 or 5 days on $50. If this product was $20 or less, I would keep it despite its problems because my son enjoys it.
