This walkie talkie is amazing! It can take digital photos,
text to the other walkie talkie and other people who have
the walkie talkie who are on your buddy list, and it can do so much more!
I am a kid and i have a friend who has it and we text each other all the time. But it doesn't always work because she lives i think 2 miles away and 2 miles is the limit. They are exactly like cell phones but they don't have a bill. If you want to communicate with your child but don't want to be with them. Chatnows are your best choice!

The idea for this is great...and it might be wonderful for older children. We got this for our 4 year old who loves to talk on the phone. But there are so many instructions and specialty numbers (buddy numbers) that she cannot use it. Sheis very bright and a reader, but this product was too advanced for her. I tried reading the instructions and got lost as well.

I bought a pair of these phones for my 6 and 4 year old daughters because they love to play on the cheap phones that we were buying them from the Dollar Tree. When i first saw these and realized that they could call each other and take pictures I decided to give them a try. I have two complaints with this product. One, the battery life with constant use is like 1 hour and that was with the top of the line energizers and I could'nt get one of the phones to communicate. The pictures are a little grainy but what do you expect with a play phone.
Buy them but have your friends get them too. ;) October 17, 2006

me and my sister got these "phones" for christmas and they were great for about a couple months. but they can only go 5 miles. and our friends live further than that. I wish they could work further than 5 miles but if you live in a neighborhood they would be cool to have! The pictures are ok but what can you expect? there pixels. but if you hold your finger over the lends and point it toward the thing your taking a picture of, then take your finger away then they turn out pretty good :)

i got it just to test it out i thought i was going to just return it but no! It is definatly the best toy ever to come from hasbro. the walkie talkie isnt the best but i only really use the text messaging anyway.
