My three year old was so excited to spend his own money from selling an old toy at a yard sale. He loves Spiderman, and picked these out (not bought at Amazon). I put the batteries in, and we can't hear anything except some static. I tried to raise the "antenna arm" except I raised the wrong arm and it snapped right off. $20 down the drain and my toddler has nothing but a broken toy, and I feel like an awful mom for breaking it. Worst toy we've bought in a long time. I threw out the box at McDonalds, so I probably can't even return it.

I bought this present for my nephew without knowing much about it. The price was right and he loves Spiderman toys. According to his mother and the rest of my family he loves the toy! They were amazed at how inexpensive and how interesting and fun the toy is.
Needless to say, both myself and my nephew are incredibly pleased with the walkie-talkies.

My son was very excited to get this present - but after violating spiderman and the human torch with a screwdriver to insert the batteries, we get only static. The manufacturer's FAQs recommends to not use near TVs, radios, etc but that has not helped the reception. The characters are really cool, however do not buy this item for the walkie talkie feature!
