Great Christmas Present January 24, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this for my 6 year old niece for Christmas. She liked watching kids play Dance Dance Revolution but it was a bit too hard for her to play. I purchased this to have the same kind of game but at an easier level. She loves it and it teaches reflex and coordination skills! Great buy for the price!
Great Fun!!!! January 18, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
My kids and I had great fun dancing on the mat. It does make me get some workout done while having fun with my kids. You could either used the preset music that comes with it or turn on your favourite tune and start dancing.
Great, inexpensive dance mat January 4, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
We purchased this for our daughters(age 5&8) for Christmas after reading bad reviews on the more expensive Hannah Montana mat. This is a great mat for the price. My husband and I have enjoyed playing it with the girls and having contests. It is good exercise! It plays 3 tunes-one is kind of draggy. You can put it on mute and play music from your own cds. It is fun to play it in the dark when you can really see the stars light up. It seems very durable and runs a long time on C batteries. This is a great product for such an inexpensive price.
Good for competition December 6, 2007 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
I bought this to have in my home when our grandchildren visit. Everyone loves it. It keeps them very focused, and each turn lasts about 3 minutes, maybe more. A light comes on in a small area of the center, and each person has to quickly step on the star in their square mat that coordinates with that spot; for example, left (foot) back, then right (foot) up. It's quick, so you have to really pay attention. It's good for ages 5 to 12, but even adults can have fun with the challenge. Our 3 year old, even though he didn't understand the coordination of the stars, wanted to do it too, so his brother challenged him and he moved his feet back and forth very seriously, as if he was really playing. A variety of upbeat music accompanies the action. It has lasted 4 years and shows no signs of wearing out.
It lasts FOREVER! October 15, 2006 I got this thing when I was 7 and I am now 11 and I still have it! And believe it or not it still works!! I have a different version of Dance Maker 2. Its the 2000 version, but its practicly the same thing. After 5 years of having and playing with it quite a bit, It still looks great and i dont think we have had to change the battery-maybe once.. Heck, we even moved 1 time from Ohio to Texas! This thing lasts forever!!! It gets boring after a few years but then you start to think about it and you play with it. It doesent take long to be a pro on this thing. Its simple but it lasts FOREVER!! On my 11th birthday I had 4 of my friends come over and they were 9, 10, and 11 years old and they all even liked it! I would recommend this if your planning on having it for a while. Like I said- I got it when I was 7, now im 11 and its still working and we MIGHT have changed the battery ONCE.. Great for parties! I say fopr ages 7 to 13.
