5 out of 5 stars A classic   October 31, 2008

This is a classic inexpensive game that should be in any house where kids live or visit. This and a couple other games have been enjoyed by my nieces and nephews when they visit and helps prevent any possible boredom if, like me, you are a proponent of leaving the tv off.

5 out of 5 stars Pleasantly surprised!   August 10, 2008
I purchased this game to use as part of a role playing game Dread: A Game of Horror and Hope. I had never played Jenga before, so my husband and I decided to set it up and have a few goes at it so we would know what to expect. We had no idea it could be so much darn fun. The concept is so simple and there are barely any rules. At each turn you must study the structure to find a piece you can remove that will not bring the tower down on your turn while trying to leave your opponents with no good options. Its sheer simplicity leaves a lot of options about game play - it could be a part of a trivia challenge, drinking game, or a host of other party games. The simplicity of the set up and ease of game play make it a great option for players of all ages and skill levels. Highly recommended!

5 out of 5 stars A Rare Jewel   June 23, 2008
This game is destined to be a classic. Proving the best games are often the simplest, the game can be enjoyed by a wide range of players including my fickle 7 year old and board-game eschewing husband.

The entire package is well thought out. It comes with a very durable reinforced cardboard tube that allows you dump the pieces in instead of having to reassemble the tower if you are in a hurry. The packaging is durable enough to lend itself to many trips and is not made of the standard cheap cardboard that most games come with.

The wooden blocks give the game a nice tactile feel and are very high quality.

Taking a page from the preschool days, you remove a block from any of the sublevels and add it to the top of the pile. The last person to move a piece without the tower falling is the winner. To begin again, use the included tower building form and stack the blocks back up.

Games last from 2-20 minutes, with each round having a unique outcome due to the nature of unstable structure.

4 out of 5 stars good storage container in this version   March 16, 2008

The main thing that differentiates this version from other past versions is that the large bin allows for quick "put away". Other older versions required you to stack them on the V plastic before storing. This one allows you to put them away quickly for those who don't have patience after the game.

5 out of 5 stars An essential for your game collection.   February 6, 2008

This is one of those perfect games that has something for everyone. The pieces are tactile and satisfying to touch. Little kids will just play with them as objects - or as blocks. The game of Jenga itself is instantly easy to learn and is playable by all ages. You just stack them up and then each player takes turns removing pieces until the tower falls. The loser is the one who knocks it over. Tactics are simple and yet the game has great replay value and is satisfying to play even for those with advanced intellects. It's the kind of game a sophisticated adult and a small child can play together with no condescension. It lends itself to party play, but can also be played alone. Unlike many games, it isn't ruined if a piece is lost. All in all this really is one for the ages.
