Product Description Book-opoly allows players a glimpse inside the many worlds of classic literature. It?s a traditional property trading game where players buy, sell and trade their way to fun with family and friends. Interesting facts about the books and the authors are printed on the back of each property deed. Roll the dice and advance to Read. Collect Bookstores and trade them in for Libraries. Who knows! You may soon be elected President of the Book Club?or you may be tossed out of the game for three turns and sent to WATCH TV!

bookopoly September 6, 2008 We used this game as a prize for our summer reading program. We issued library "book bucks" and the kids used them to bid on the prizes. Bookopoly was one of the most popular prizes that "sold" to the highest bidder.
Bookopoly August 23, 2008 An excellent learning tool, that ads fun to reading! It is a good conversation game. My kids and i talked about the books that are listed.
The only negative I found is after a few plays everyone knows the answers to the questions,. You could always make up your own cards.

This game was purchased as a Christmas game for the family so we have not played it yet. We are looking forward to it.

The instructions were not clear; or perhaps we hadn't played Monopoly for some time, that we'd forgotten the general rules. It was a novel activity for an English class to brainstorm and market, but it did not meet my expectations.
A classic game transformed to a world of books. August 17, 2007 16 out of 16 found this review helpful
A bookish spin on a classic game. My daughter and I are both avid readers and we have a great time with this!
Tell me, who needs properties when you can have books? Houses and hotels when you can have bookstores and libraries? Is there really any comparison? Except that maybe, the more money you have, the more books you get and time to read them!
When I first saw this game,I wanted to know more details than the box provided, so I'd like to share some details with you other inquisitive's who are wondering whether or not to purchase this:
The tokens are icons from various books. ie: A carousel horse from The Catcher in the Rye, a whale from Moby Dick, a fly from Lord of the Flies, a ship, glasses and a book worm.
The four railroads are Genres The electric co. and water works are Imagination and Big Brain The community chest and chance are Knowledge and Explore Pass 'Read' to collect your $[...] Go to jail by Watching TV Just Visiting is Excercise your mind Free Parking is Free Dreams Taxes are Book club Fee
When I play this, I am reminded of the many classics that I haven't read, and am inspired to read them! This is a fun version of monopoly. Great gift for a booklover!
