Very nice globeDecember 3, 2008 I purchased this for our five-year-old before a trip to Latin America so she could get an idea where we were going. She has used it, not only for that but also to look up places she's seen in the news, at school, to find relatives, and etc. It's been a lot of fun. My only surprise with this was that the base is plastic. I'd think for the price it would have a better base.

This was a case when the globe did not get shipped in a timely manner. But when I contacted the vendor they bent over backwards to make it right and they special shipped a globe to me in two days so my son got it in time for his birthday.
We all make mistakes. It is the mark of a truly customer oriented vendor to go the extra distance and make it right. Thanks!!!
Also my son loves the globe. He wanted a globe he could put pins into for the places he has traveled. This globe is perfect for that.
