An updated version of "Perfection" December 28, 2007 I bought this game because it reminded me of the old game Perfection. Indeed, my four year old likes racing against the clock to fit the different items in the trunk of the SUV. I just wish more items could actually fit. It is fun, but the variations of the game are limited by the amount of space in the trunk (so only so much will ever fit). My son has adapted the game by trying to fill the trunk, then place as much as he can on the roof. It keeps him occupied and happy, so no problem there! I do think the educational value of the toy (spatial relations, etc.) is less than the toy manufacturer would want you to think, but it wasn't the main reason I bought it so that fact doesn't personally bother me.
fun for everyone December 28, 2007 I bought this for my 7 year old for Christmas. She wasn't that excited about it just seeing it in the box, but once I got her to play she hasn't wanted to stop! We have played it several times a day for the past 3 days and she doesn't seem to get bored with it. It is one that I don't mind playing over and over again with her, and it doesn't take long to play. It is alot of fun for the whole family.
Broken right out of the box December 27, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
My car was broken with an electrical problem that heated up the batteries to a hot to the touch temp within the first 15 minutes of trying to get the thing to work. Glad I persisted in troubleshooting before the kids got a hold of the game. This toy was destined to melt or worse had the kids been cut loose on the toy before a parent could look it over. Parents beware!! YIKES!
Broken? December 27, 2007 My 5 year old got this toy for Christmas. She was excited to get it, but right from the box we couldn't understand the excitement of the game. Maybe ours is broken? The trunk doesn't pop out every time. Maybe only 4 out of 10 times it actually works. Otherwise, it just starts over telling us to push the button to start packing. I am not impressed with the game. I also think for the amount of money paid, it should come with it's own storage system. Right now we have it stored in an old shoe box. Right now we have plans to return the game and pick out something different.
Give us a box!! December 26, 2007 Well it is Christmas and I didn't see any type of zip lock back to store all of these pieces in. I had thought that all of the pieces would fit into the car and they do not. I can't imagine Cranium making a game without some sort of storage container. The game really is too easy and my 9 year old got bored easy with it so we made up our own rules and made it more fun.
