pretty decent toy gun October 1, 2008 You have to squeeze the trigger with a little less speed if you don't want your darts to jam. To my suprise the darts actually stick strongly to some surfaces when being fired. I can forsee the gun spring (you pull back) breaking eventually - looks very dinky, but as long as you treat your toy with some appreciation, I'm sure you'll get your moneys worth. Another thing that kept this gun from getting 5 stars is the fact that the 6 bullet chamber doesnt come all the way out like a normal revclver. It only slides out partially and lets you put 1 bullet in at a time.
Best Side-Arm September 2, 2008 I pair this with my Recon CS-6, and I think it's the best Nerf gun (other then the Recon). It's pretty durable, and supports a couple attachments. If you buy this, I recommend extra ammo.
Great! July 31, 2008 This isn't a good blaster for a primary. It's a legit sidearm, but the speed and the insane RoF are what makes this thing awesome. It's THE ultimate choice for a Speed Raider. Speed Raiders rush in and deal as much damage possible, and then go for a quick retreat. The small size allows extreme portability. As for range, it goes as much as a heavily modded Scout. (The Scout's terrible, modded it's OK) There is also an insanely easy mod to make the barrel extend further. Mine can be taken out. It's very durable, I have two. One is broken due to a modding accident. I now use that barrel for a clip on my working one.
Not AS dangerous as people say July 30, 2008 This is a great toy, but let's just say it won't help raise your little boy as the next Einstein.
Kidding aside, it's pretty powerful. It can hurt if fired close-range, but you won't kill someone.
The main problem I had was that it's kind of hard to load in the bullets. It's not actually hard, persay, but takes a couple of seconds. If your buddy had a faster loading gun, you'd be...in trouble.
Good value.
The Best Nerf Gun Ever July 29, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is the best Nerf gun ever made. It shoots straighter and farther then any other Nerf gun, including the Hasbro Nerf N-Strike Longshot CS-6 and the Nerf N-Strike Recon Cs-6 Dart Blaster. I've owned two of them and they rock. My kids always fight over the maverick, and we'd got a Nerf gun arsenal that Rambo would find respectable. Also an other get feature is that they will shoot any of the Nerf brand and off brand darts. Which is a great feature when almost every gun out there these days comes with their own specific ammo. And for about $10, its a total steal.
