| Customer Reviews:
This toy has it all November 5, 2008 This toy is a big winner for the toddler in your life. I recently bought it for my 14 month old niece and she adores it. She is a little young to understand the silly songs it sings, but she loves that it starts to sing as soon as she snaps two animals halves in! (And I have to say that I like the songs myself! )It is a toy that she will enjoy over the next couple of years. It is very durable. All of the pieces do hook to the back of the toy for storage, but the magnets aren't strong enough to hold them on very well. That being its only flaw that I can see, I would strongly recommend that you purchase this for your 1-3 year old.
Still going (sort of) after 4 years!! November 4, 2008 I bought this toy for my daughter 4 years ago. She is now 5 and still plays with it! The magnetic puzzle board doesn't always work correctly anymore, but she doesn't seem to mind. I'd say for a well used, well loved, dropped countless times this toy is an excellent value. I am going to purchase another one for my adopted nephew who is one.
Requires a lot of coordination October 24, 2008 This is a really good product, provided that your child is ready for it. Based on all of the great reviews, we bought it for my daughter's first birthday. She loved the sounds, and that the magnets stuck to the fridge. However, she lacked the gross moter skills to be able to fit the peices into the barn...they have to be turned exactly right to fit into place. She would get really frustrated, so I would have to be right there with her to assist. (This negates why we have toys in the kitchen...to give us time to cook dinner!) Now that she's about 16 months old, she's able to fit the peices in the right spot, and seems to be getting more out of it. But, of course, she's bored with it, so doesn't play with it much. So, bottom line advice: get it, but wait until your child has enough coordination to, say, fit a square block into a square block hole in a shape sorter.
Works like a charm! October 13, 2008 If you have a "helper" in the kitchen while getting a meal ready, you need this toy! This toy makes lots of noises (but not really annoying ones). If your little one gets bored and crawls away, the toy will make a noise by itself to "lure" them back in. My son takes it off of the fridge daily and bangs it on the floor, and it is still going strong.
Great toy! October 13, 2008 My son has played with this toy for almost a year and still has not gotten tired of it. My husband likes it because it goes on the refrigerator and doesn't take up space on the floor! It gives my son something to while I am occupied in the kitchen.
