5 out of 5 stars Great toy for a 3-6 year old   February 28, 2008
My son got this for Christmas from SANTA and he loves he. He is 4 years old. I hear him playing with it and it is really opening up his imagination. The castle is very sturdy and it is nice that it folds up and you can store all the little guys in it. Great Toy.

5 out of 5 stars Great for 6 year old too!   February 9, 2008
We bought this for our son's 6th Birthday. I looked at other knight options and only saw PlayMobile, which I've been told have lots of tiny parts that you have to keep track of.
Every boy child (so far) who comes to our house loves it (24 months to 8 years). My kids especially like the trap door and hidden staircase. Our younger son is 3 and it's nice to know that the pieces are durable enough for him. Even our friend's child who is 24 months kept pulling on the draw bridge and caused no damage.
I like how it closes up so that it doesn't take up too much space. We have a tupperware container that we keep the pieces in. The cannon is also very fun and shoots a full 2-3 feet. The only problem we've had is that the projectiles only work one way (although they seem symmetric), I'm wondering if over time the plastic will wear down and they will no longer launch.
Putting the swords and shields in the knights' hands is rather difficult, even for my 6 year old, I don't see how your average 3 year old would be able to do it on his own.

5 out of 5 stars Best gift ever!   February 1, 2008
I have a 6 year old son. He has a great imagination and loves to pretend. He is all boy and plays rough most of the time with his toys. This castle is very durable and easy to carry around. All the little men and horses that come with it fit right inside so you don`t lose them. I also got him the Pirate ship from Fisher Price and he loves that too. The best thing about this castle is it kid tough and very fun to play with. The castle and the pieces are just the right size for little hands. He plays for hours and hours with this toy building his imagination. I would recommend this toy and the other Imaginext toys to everyone. It is money well spent!!!

5 out of 5 stars Tough, well-made, and invites ADVENTURE   January 22, 2008
I bought this castle and an Imaginext dragon for my 3 year old's birthday. He and his 6 year old sister have had many wonderful adventures already with this set. The castle has many interactive parts --- working drawbridge, a trap door that drops guys down to the dungeon, secret doors, etc. The whole set is very sturdy and can take quite a bit of abuse. When I first got the toy in the mail, I was concerned that it was a bit big, but it really does fold together into a nice compact piece. I agree with a previous poster that it would be nice if there was a latch to keep it closed, and my son does have some difficulty putting some of the armor on the knights. But he plays with this set daily, and I would not hesitate to recommend it!!

5 out of 5 stars so much fun   January 18, 2008
we love to play with this with our 3 yr old son he loves to fight his castle men. and there are lots of ways to use his imagination. it folds up to about half it's size to put on the shelf when he's done playing. we love this durable product!!!
