Great fun September 20, 2008 We bought this for our daughter, and she has a love/hate relationship with it, because she's a little too short to get on and off by herself. Buy the base as well.
Super cute, classic toy September 10, 2008 I love this toy and thought my son would too. He refuses to ride it. Mostly he just hits it or knocks it over as a game. Sadly he just doesn't seem all that interested. At 2 yrs old he was more interested in anything with wheels, climbing, and dancing. After 6 months, he's even less interested and prefers every other physical activity to this one. :(
It is rather unstable when jumping on it, but that's what makes it a good balance toy for kids.
THE BEST TOY WE'VE BOUGHT SO FAR February 1, 2008 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
Our son has been playing with his Rody since he got it when he was almost 2. He's always been particularly active and he took to it immediately. It's now more than a year and a half later and, while other toys and playthings have gone in and out of fashion, Rody is still his favorite with no sign of waning.
I can't believe how durable this thing is! Our son rides it HARD indoors and out, but Rody can certainly take a licking. It's so great to see a toy last these days.
It's also terrific for stimulating creative play--our son the cowboy has ridden his trusty horse Rody on many an exciting adventure. There was also the barn he built for Rody out of an old box, where Rody slept for a few weeks after we put him to bed each night. And during Christmastime, Rody was a reindeer pulling Santa's sleigh.
And it's incredible exercise too! He just looks like he's having so much fun on it. Our younger son is 16 months and has already started eyeballing Rody and trying to get on it. We'd better get a second one soon to avoid World War III in our house. I really can't recommend this toy enough. It's safe and fun and good for your kid. In these days when it seems that every toy is battery operated and obnoxious, nothing beats Rody for some good, old-fashioned fun. As a parent of 2 young children, and a VERY discriminating toy shopper, I'm delighted to recommend Rody whole-heartedly.
