Kids don't get bored with this toy! October 19, 2008 My kids really enjoy this toy. I like to hide little toys in the cages and my daughter uses the keys to get them out. I got this when my daughter was 2 and she is now almost 4 and still loves it.
role playing fun September 10, 2008 Both of my 4 year old grandchildren and a 3 year old grandniece have enjoyed "curing" sick stuffed animals and locking and unlocking the cages the animals stay in while under the veterinarian's care.
Great gift for a 2 year old September 5, 2008 I got this for my granddaughter's 2nd birthday and my daughter tells me that it is her favourite toy. The animal hospital offers lots of play opportunities. Our little one especially loves locking and unlocking the animal cages using the colour-coded keys (she figured that out right away!). A great toy!
Great toy for kids who are facinated w/ keys August 4, 2008 We got this for our (almost 2 year old) son because he was so facinated w/ keys (always trying to put ours in any door/lock he could find). He also loves animals and this is a great portable toy as well (as everything fits inside nicely). We decided to get him a toy that had locks to open, and were very surprised to see how few toy options there were that had working locks. There are some, but most had one key that worked everything and that wasn't a key feature of the toy. I did some more research and discovered this toy by Parents. We've loved the other toys from this brand (alphablock sorter and beebop drum) and assumed this would be another high quality toy. We were correct. Each key is color coordinated to the door it opens (it is possible to use your fingers or something else to open the doors if you lose the key ring), so it also teaches colors and hand coordination. The 3 animals are cute and other small toys also fit inside the cages. The top opens to hold all the tools that a vet would need including a tweasers, stethoscope, working flashlight, vitamin container, needle, and more.
All and all it's a great toy that will grow with your child and is easy to take along to grandma's house.
Lasting Fun for Our Little One February 5, 2008 Our daughter received this toy as a birthday present several months ago and it has retained its popularity with her despite the fact that Christmas brought about an influx of new toys. She loves to tote the little vet hospital around and add her own stuffed animals to it. She also uses the vet tools to treat our various maladies despite the fact that we are not pets and we certainly can't fit in the hospital's little pet compartments. I can't tell you how many times I've had pretend "boo boo cream" rubbed on my skin, had fake splinters removed from my fingers, and have had to "bark like a dog" as she listens to my chest with her plastic stethoscope. As much as she enjoys this toy, it's fun to imagine that this might lead her to a career in caring for animals or people.
