Still a winner November 27, 2008 My son received this as a christmas gift 2 years ago at age 1 1/2... now at 3 1/2 it is still one of his favorite toys! This has stood up wonderfully to a very active boys treatment of it! He even insists on taking it in the bath with him to sail his pirate ship "around the sea"... This toy is durable and allows for hours of imaginative play.
Kids Went Nuts November 25, 2008 My 1 and 3 year old really like Little People products. But I have never seen such a reaction to a toy like this one had. They are NUTS about the cannon especially. You should order a few extra cannon balls. They do travel and roll under things -- and disappear. Pretty tough toy as well -- has endured multiple tugs of wars.
My Grandson loved it! July 25, 2008 The ship is a good size. The side opens to reveal the sleeping quarters and allow all the pieces to be stored inside the ship. It comes with two little people (pirates), a bird that makes different sounds, a cannon that shoots,(the cannon ball is a good size and when it shoots, it doesn't fly very far so there is no danger of getting hurt), and a gangplank that moves in and out when the child turns the wheel. My grandson plays with it for hours. I like that he is using his imagination instead of sitting in front of the TV.
Pirate ship... February 8, 2008 My 2.5 year old loves pirates so I thought this toy would be appropriate. He got bored with it very quickly, and doesn't play with it at all anymore. It is very durable and safe, just doesn't hold his attention. After the initial setup, he was finished with it. I will now probably donate it to his daycare, as I'm sure other kids may find it fun to play with.
Lil Pirate Ship January 27, 2008 I can't say enough good about Fisher Price toys. They are duriable and fun to play with. I got this for my grandson. It was a very big hit with him and the girls, also. They played with it a lot, and had so much fun. Of course, the imaginations were hard at work. I highly recomend it.
