Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
Inspire your child's imagination with this engaging castle-themed playset that's full of electronic features and comes with a whole new cast of wobbly Weebles characters. The fun begins when the drawbridge "magically" lowers. Take characters for a boat ride in the revolving moat, then "climb" to the highest point and keep lookout in the revolving turret. From there, your child will have fun helping characters explore all the nooks and crannies: take a ride down the slide, or a "dance"on the musical spinning dance floor as Weebles figures whirl around and around. There are even a few surprises like a secret passageway and castle caves.

Playset comes with a unique board book that's full of great ideas for fun, interactive castle play. Act out the story using the Weebles figures and accessories, or try making up fairytales of your own. Includes 5-piece castle, 4 Weebles figures, boat, bed, chair, round table, throne, staircase, drawbridge ramp, lookout turret, storyboard book and instructions. Requires 3 "C" batteries (not included). Adult assembly required. Measures 19.5" x 18" x 18".

3 out of 5 stars Just okay.. Could be better   October 20, 2008
My 2 year old son LOVES this toy. The tree house is a better toy. The music & moat stopped working imediately. He liked to put everything in the moat & it just got jammed & broke completely. he still loves playing with the castle. Making everything go down the slide including his golf balls. Very entertaining for him.

5 out of 5 stars Great Toy   September 14, 2008
My daughter loves this toy. She is now 20 mo old. The fact that the music is NOT continous is a plus. She is motivated to interact to get it to play. There is also an OFF switch on the bottom.

This toy has a great deal of play value. It has two entrances, two moving sections, the dance floor and moat, it has lots of furniture they can play with in and out of the castle, a removable tower piece that spins, a boat and an extra set of characters are available for lots of play. The music and moving sections require a finger push - one is more difficult than the other. It is very motivating.

As far as educational, there are role playing opportunities, fine motor development (pushing for music, manipulating the people and figuring out how to get them off the moving parts), problem solving, speech & language development -use of verbs and prepositions, house hold activities, relationships etc - eating, riding, dancing, spinning, up/down, on/off, open/close, round and round, etc.

My older son, age 6 and his friend found it and played with it until I sent them away. That surprised me.

I think my daughter will enjoy it a long time.

4 out of 5 stars Keeps my 17 mo boy busy for ages   March 19, 2008
My son has adored this toy since he was about 12 mo, but now that he is a bit older and has figured out how to make it work himself, he plays with it several times every day. As others have mentioned, his favorite part is the rotating musical moat. He loves to test out various objects (blocks, cars, beads, anything that will fit) going down the slide and through the chutes into the moat and through the tunnels. He also likes to watch things "dance" around on the 1st floor. We also enjoy playing peek-a-boo through the castle door. I like that the batteries seem to last a very long time; I've only replaced them once so far and this toy gets several hours of use each week.

5 out of 5 stars Great toy!   February 23, 2008
I bought this for my daugter on her 2nd birthday. It did not get much use at first but has become a very fun toy for her to imagine with. She can sit and play with it for an hour making the figurines save each other, ride in the moat, etc. Nothing has broken on it. I am very happy with the quality and the many things that this toy can do. I did not pay $40+ for it, but I think it would be worth that much.

4 out of 5 stars Fun toy , but a couple of issues   January 8, 2008
My 18-mo. old received this for Christmas and loves it. He never tires of sending the weebles down the slide, opening the drawbridge, or sending the weebles for a swim in the moat.
My only complaints are with regards to the furniture and the construction. I agree with other reviewers that the furniture is too tempting to put in the moat, which creates a log jam. I would prefer the furniture snap into the castle so that it can't be put into the moat or even misplaced. My son doesn't really even play with them except to put them in the moat.
Also, as other reviewers have noted, the front pathway and back stairs continually come off the castle, and I'm constantly having to put them back on. We also have a problem with the "wobbly turret" coming off every now and then. But all in all, it's hours of fun for my 18-mo. old!
