great game for young children November 16, 2008 My 4 year old daughter loves this game. We play it every day. It is fast paced to keep her interest and she loves the traps. Game is very simple. She also plays with it like a doll house and makes up different mysteries for the gang to solve. Our moose head doesn't work as well but it doesn't affect the game. I was pleasantly surprised about the durability. Based on reading some of these reviews before purchase, I was expecting "mouse trap" quality in which the traps didn't work or the game would fall apart. But this game holds up great and the traps work!
Fed up with cheap toys! November 7, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This toy looks really cool on the box. It would probably be fun to play if it would stay together, but that is just too much to hope for! My son is 6 and loves Scooby Doo. I put this game together and it would not hold up even for one time of play. Also, there is no way to store it because it doesn't fit back in the box after it is put together. If you had to take it down and put it back together more than once it would be a crumbled mess. Don't buy this toy!!
Haunted House September 7, 2008 The kids have a lot of fun with this game but it falls apart pretty easy. I have to stay close by to put it back together again.
Fun Scooby Doo Game August 1, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This was for my step-son...he gets it out to play it as much as he can.
Lack of durability is upsetting May 26, 2008 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Although the Scooby-Doo board game was fun initially, it quickly lost its appeal when we soon realized that the pieces don't hold together that well at all. The back walls come loose and fall down constantly as do the snake stairs. It's nearly impossible to get past the snake stairs because almost every time you get on them, you have to press the ghost down and then you fall off them. The snake stairs also come apart from the frame of the game and you have to try to assemble them again. We decided to keep it together all the time instead of disassembling it and putting it back in the box every time we were done with it, but that didn't prevent us from having to assemble it each time we wanted to play with it and having to assemble it several times during the game as well.
All in all, very poor quality and craftsmanship and just an annoyance to play. The bother far outweighs the educational and entertainment benefits.
