Great toy for little boys! Terrible packaging for parents! November 28, 2008 I can NOT believe how difficult it was to get this toy out of the box! Beside that though, this toy is neat. My almost 2 year old got this as an early birthday gift and just giggles when the helicopter starts to move across the floor (which it won't do unless you remove another ANNOYING black disc thing SCREWED into the bottom of the toy). The propeller spins around, the pilot giggles and says Woo-hoo! I don't really think a 5 year old would be entertained too long by this but a 2 and 3 year old - definitely! Before you give this as a gift, do everyone a favor and get it out the box for the child before they see it. It is torture!
Toy ok, terrible packaging !! March 19, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
The packaging for this toy is TERRIBLE!! There's a black plastic holding the pilot's head to the box. After removing from the box, you have to also remove from the botom part of the pilot. This is what is so difficult. The screw holding it on is impossible to remove with any convential screwdrivers. After working with it for half an hour and using power tools, my husband finally had to disassemble the bottom piece and strip the screw out. Basically all of that took an hour. So you can imagine we're not feeling really good about this product. And that's a shame, because it's a cute toy. But the packaging has got to be improved.
