Amazon.com Review The cute little i-Dog Dance loves to boogie--and he makes a great companion for music fans ages 8 and up who want to add a little fun to their day. The i-Dog Dance creates a multi-colored light show for music that you "feed" it and dances along with a variety of groovin' moves. He's also trained to perform several different commands, including "dance, "tap paw," and more. Like any dog, he gets a little miffed when you don't pay attention to him and will remind you to feed him more music by making barking noises and flashing his lights. | What We Think Fun Factor:
Durability: (what this means)
The Good: Clever design makes i-Dog Dance cute and easy to use The Bad: Touch-sensitive volume control doesn't work well In a Nutshell: A compact and fun companion for any music lover | At a Glance Ages: 8 and older Requires: 3 AAA batteries | | |
It's easy to connect i-Dog to your favorite music player. (White i-Dog shown here.) View larger. |
i-Dog is always ready to bust a move. (White i-Dog shown here.) View Larger. | No Assembly Required for i-Dog to Get His Groove On The i-Dog Dance requires no assembly and is ready to use right out of the box. Simply press the button on i-Dog's nose and he'll tell you what "mood" he's in through a series of noises and light displays. The clever, compact design features a jack on his hind leg where you can plug in a personal music player using the included connector cord. As the music plays through i-Dog's speaker, he'll do a custom light show, and occasionally dance along. The little speakers on i-Dog get plenty loud, but you can quickly mute them by touching i-Dog's multi-functional tail (which also puts him into "quiet" mode if he's getting on your nerves.) The inconspicuous microphone on his shoulder also allows him to perform along with music that's played through nearby speakers. Besides dancing and flashing his lights while listening to music, the dog also responds to a variety of commands. These commands are all described in the helpful instruction booklet. Plugged or Unplugged, i-Dog is a Dancin' Fool The design of the i-Dog Dance makes it a standout. It's both sleek and contemporary while still remaining cute and charming. The multi-colored light shows are fun, as are the dog's movements--especially when he moves his ears up and down and dances on his back legs (which you can make him do by running your finger across his face). His versatility is also a nice feature --when you don't feel like plugging a personal music player in to i-Dog, simply put him next to your stereo and watch him perform! Fun Personality, User-Friendly Design We especially liked how i-Dog has a personality and reminds you of his presence when you haven't paid attention to him in a while. (It's easy enough to turn him off if he's annoying you). The device also functions as a compact easy-to-use speaker system for your personal music player--handy for a desk or a kitchen table. Theoretically you can control the volume of i-Dog's speakers by running your finger up and down his face, but that feature didn't work so well for us. Most likely, however, your personal music player will be sitting nearby, and you can easily control the volume directly from it. This minor flaw didn't prevent us from enjoying i-Dog and his antics, and appreciating the clever, user-friendly design that's sure to appeal to dog-lovers and music-lovers alike. What's in the Box i-Dog Dance unit, connector cord, 3 AA batteries

I-Dog no dance January 6, 2009 My son has an I-Dog amped and wanted the dancing version for Christmas. The dog does dance when his nose is pushed, but my son was disappointed when it did not dance while listening to music. While listening to music it only taps it foot. The speakers are not very loud so you need to be nearby to hear the music. Overall my son has enjoyed it.
Fun way to listen to IPOD January 6, 2009 Got this for my 11 yr old. He likes it. It is an easy and portable way for him to put speakers to his IPOD> And the dogs face lights up to the music and it dances, of course! Really cute, I would recommend this toy/ipod speaker system. I gave it 3 stars because the "sound" is sort of "canned" sounding, but again my son really likes it.
Dancing Dog January 5, 2009 My daughter loves this. She plays her music and loves to watch it dance. It's kind of amazing!
Cute and Fun - kids love it January 2, 2009 My kids love this toy - except my 5 year old can't figure out how to turn off the movement so he can listen to his ipod while he falls asleep. He finally got annoyed enough that he asked us to take it out of his room. All in all though - it's a really cute little dog, I love when it taps its foot to the music. Sound quality isn't great, but I wasn't figuring it would be...
Very shocked ! December 28, 2008 Very shocked at what all this idog can do once you get it out of play mode. This was given as a Christmas gift the new ower loved it... Yes a 26 year old man was amazed. LOL Thanks for helping me find a great gift for a geek that has everything.
No problems with seller would get more items in future.
