 Great first race track January 8, 2009
We got this for our 5 year old for Christmas. All he wanted was a race track, and this seems to have fit the bill. I have as much fun or more as he does. Our only complaint is that after a while the cars don't work as well coming out of the start box. They seem to spin their wheels a bit and then not have enough power left to get around the loops. When we just do it by hand, they do fine. We may try the set-up for one continuous loop next. Easy to put together, easy to use, looks cool, and it's fun.

Great Toy January 3, 2009
My son (4 yrs) and his playmates (ranging in age from 5 yrs to 73 yrs) love this track. It is just cool and fun. The components are high quality. It is one of those toys that parents wish we had when we were young. The speed with which the cars go around the loops is impressive. I gave this 3 stars on educational as a nod to the engineering involved in setting it up and the opportunity to discuss gravity with the youngsters. Well worth the price.

My son had the privilege of receiving this set for Christmas (thanks Uncle Dave and Aunt Nancy)My son absolutely loves anything to do with cars and racing. He especially likes the Disney CARS toys and even has a CARS racing track. This track blows it away. First of all it is an exciting course full of loops and twists and turns and looks like something out of the live action Speed Racer movie. Please don't let that fact discourage you from buying it. It is extremely easy to assemble thanks to the easy to follow instructions. Secondly it does not use any batteries. The cars that come with it are motorized. All you have to do is pull them back to wind up the motor and off they go. The cars have enough power to make it around the whole course with ease. They stay on track and the whole set works perfectly. Additionally there are a wide variety of additional cars that can be purchased separately. My son, who is four, has no trouble playing with the track and understands it perfectly. He even enjoys sharing it with us and his little sister. He has played with it almost constantly for the last two days since he received it, and nothing has broken on it. The track has even stayed together the whole time and has not needed to be re-assembled. The Disney "CARS" track he has is constantly coming apart. This is by far one of the best toys my son has ever owned.
Fun, fun, fun December 1, 2008
Oh my gosh. Had forgotten how much fun this "toy" can be. Bought it for my kids years ago but forgot all about this until web surfing. Now my nephew will get to race with his dad. My 21 year old big kid had to get it out, put it together and test it, of course before we wrapped it. I will have to get one for my grandson when he is age appropriate! Wow, brings back memories...
