 Great for 4 year olds November 17, 2008
My son received this for Christmas a year ago when he was 4. This was THE present that Christmas - the one that got played with for hours and hours. He is a HUGE LMQ fan and just loved watching the cars race around the figure-8 track (we have had a few go airborne, so watch out for that). It is pretty sturdy and you can put several cars on the track at once. It folds in half which is nice for storage. He is now 5 and while he still plays with it, he's ready for a larger race track. A great gift for kids who are 2-5 years old.
Hours of fun October 2, 2008
We purchased this for our 4 year-old son for Christmas--WHAT A HIT! He loves it as well as his 2 year-old brother. It's easy for them to use on their own. They love watching the cars race and crash. The best part that it's been 9 months since he got it for Christmas and still plays with it regularly.
I would recommend it to anyone who loves the movie "Cars" and toy cars.

This is the only race track I've ever found that works great right out of the box. My four-year old loves it. True it doesn't work with any Hot Wheels cars, only the Pixar cars, but that's okay, too. My son stuck a *golf ball* in the track and it works too. So that's the competition for the McQueen car until we get it home. It's sure noisy, though. I SAID IT'S NOISY!

My 2-and-a-half-year-old boy loves everything Cars, so naturally we picked this up because it was small, portable, and it was something he didn't yet have. He's played with it every day for the past week, and continues to have fun racing all of his Cars characters. I'm even having fun with it! HOT TIP: Although the set comes with the Lightning McQueen car, the absolute best car to race on this track is Nitroade. That car flies around the track so fast it's like you've got the fast pedal pushed down the whole time. Great toy for tots!

I purchased this toy before the movie went to DVD. I have a 4 year old and a 2 year old. They enjoyed the toy a lot when we 1st got it. Only some of the "cars" toys worked. The larger ones got stuck on the corners but some of the larger "hot Wheels" types worked. As time ticked away they have used it less and less. They do still however pull it out every once in a while and play with it.
Not very educational though. :)
