Very poorly constructed product September 7, 2008 The remote control malfunctioned after one use and I am in the process of returning it. Since it was a gift to my grandson in a different town I am hoping that I get it returned in time to get a refund. I would strongly advise not to purchase this item. It is very poorly constructed. It is a waste of your money.
Great Fun for Kids! July 24, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
My 9 year old son received this cool boat as a birthday gift from his grandparents a year ago. He has loved it. He charges up the rechargeable battery which it comes with (great for saving money on batteries!) The charge lasts about 30 minutes but it's 30 minutes of great fun. The real working water canons are an extra fun treat that he loves. I'm giving it 4 stars because of the rechargeable battery and the great fun; I'd give it 5 stars if it were a wee bit more durable looking (it's pretty cheap plastic). Caution: if your child comes up with the brilliant idea of hooking up a fishing line and a lure to it so that he can land a big fish and bring it back to the dock, tell him to forget it! My son tried it last week and yes, it worked...he caught a fish! But the fish quickly went under and pulled the boat down along with it. It looked just like a scene from the movie Titanic. So now my son's cool boat has taken a trip to Davey Jones' locker. Guess what he's getting for his 10th birthday?
Fun. Quick. Not very durable. July 17, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Great fun in a swimming pool. Quick, with a motor sound. Speed and rudder are one-step, off or on; not good for fine maneuvering. Fire hose is a fun surprise. 10-12 minute battery life. Had to repair a bad solder connection in the controller after six months. No factory service available. [...]
