Editorial Review Perfect for younger racing fans, these great little Shake & Go cars require minimal coordination skills to operate. Kids simply shake the cars up and set them down on the ground to speed away. Cars can travel up to 20 feet away and work on most surfaces, from sidewalks to carpet, or on the Shake `n Go Speedway (sold separately) designed specifically for these vehicles. This bright red vintage hot rod is one of five different collectible cars in the series and has its own unique startup and puttering engine sound. Parents, be forewarned, it doesn't take much movement to set off the noise on these racers. The vibration of a real car motor can jiggle a Shake `n Go racer enough to produce revving noises from the trunk or bottom of a knapsack. This car is made of sturdy plastic and runs on three "AA" batteries (included). --Cristina Vaamonde

Hot Rod... October 9, 2008 Great toy for little boys or girls. I put a fresh set of batteries in, and it zoomed across the room. Putting it up as part of a Christmas gift, and I know they will love it.
This is the best model we have January 16, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
We have a few of the Shake & Go Racers. My kids love all of them, but the Hot Rod is the most fun. The other cars we have just stop when they hit a wall, but the Hot Rod bounces back and continues to zoom on in another direction. I don't know if it's because of the body style or if it's more powerful than the others we have, which are a little older. You can't go wrong with any of these cars though, and I'm sure we'll be adding to our collection as time goes on!
Shake & Go Racers January 9, 2007 Purchased for our 3 year old Grandson for Christmas with the race set as well. Has turned out to be one of his (and the family's) favorite things. Lot's of fun and even easy for the little ones to use.
Vroom Vroom! June 16, 2006 These cars are so much fun! Just as the name says, you just shake it up and it goes. My son has several of these and they all have slightly different reactions. Some are faster than others.
They work best on a hard surface - Cement, hardwood floors, tile. They go pretty slow on carpet.
The cars are very durable. One of my son's favorite games is to launch them off the deck and see if he can get it to land on the grass below. If the weather isn't nice, he likes to send them racing down the stairs. So far, nothing has broken and its been over six months.
These cars are easy for my daughter (who is only two) to play with too. The kids love shaking with the cars and racing to see who's car goes the farthest.
great toy for 2 boys (2 & 4 yrs.old) May 15, 2006 My two boys love this car. They received it for Christmas last year, along with the Shake 'n Go Race track. I'm buying them the other cars that they did not receive last year this year for Christmas. Great toy it keeps my 2 boys occupied for hrs.
