BIG Harley Hog, even BIGGER disappointment! December 27, 2007 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Oh, I HAVE to upload a video review of this soon. Santa brought this for my 11 year old son. We have other New Bright RC vehicles that we are pleased with but this one is disappointing, to say the least. The styling is great, the size is impressive but that's all there is to it.
First, you can't drive it on the grass. Okay, I didn't really expect to so no big deal there. So off to the street we went. Before this thing gets up enough speed to drive straight and upright, it crashes into the curb. It only drives in circles because it leans to the side so much until it gets up enough speed and you possess enough skill to steer it upright which is hard enough to do since turning the remote knob to the left steers RIGHT! But if you steer TOO much you end up leaning to the other side and driving in a big circle the opposite way.
So we took it to a big parking lot at the fire station to try to drive it. We did get it going straight 2 or 3 times. BUT then the battery was worn down too much to give it enough power to drive upright and straight again. So that's it, 10 minutes of peak battery power available with which to steer this thing straight. But don't try turning it, you get stuck going in circles again. Enjoy the few straight runs you'll get. Then let it go in circles until the battey is done in a few minutes. But don't try to get this to actually steer and go in the direction you want AT ALL!
And they want THIS MUCH money for this?? It will hardly get any use after you child is frustrated and disappointed the first time out with it. Save yourself the aggravation and stick to a 4 wheeled vehicle.
