My daughter loves this toy January 6, 2009 My daughter loves this toy. She loves listening to the noises and watching him move. She is four and loves her stuffed animals. The fact that this one moves and makes noises, really makes her happy.
Favorite Santa Gift January 6, 2009 My daughter recieved this from Santa this Christmas. It was an easy favorite. She is very interested in animals and enjoys taking care of her own lion cub. The cub itself is very realistic, I love how it gets "mad" and growls at you if you rough-house with it. He was a big hit at show and tell also.
I am on the fence with this one ... January 6, 2009 Ordered this for my 2.5 year old son... It is not his favorite toy, but he does seem to enjoy it. Lion body is super soft, and it is a medium size toy, so I am really happy with the size of it. Sometimes hard for my son to get him to "wake up" , I would prefer it to be a tad more sensitive to touch. The noise of the facial movements is annoying to me - very loud, but my son does not seem to mind at all... so I guess that is not a really big deal !
Ocerall I think it will be a very durable toy, and my son is picking it up more often every day... if he is happy and occupied then I am happy :)
I would buy this as a gift for someone !
Perfect Pet for Children with Allergies January 4, 2009 I bought the Lion Cub for my six year old son who suffers from several allergies and can't have a furry pet of his own. Surprisingly I only paid $39 for it from Amazon.com! The price seems to fluctuate. It was priced as $69 in most stores. He absolutely loves him! So does the entire family including his 3 brothers and mom and dad! It is so life-like. So cuddly. Very realistic (for a toy). I enjoy him as much as the kids. He's working fine for us. I'm sure he's fragile though and needs to be taken care of. I don't view that as a negative though. For something that is as life-like as this lion, it's going to need to be handled with care, that's all. I explained to my son that he needs to care for him the same way he would care for a real animal. Great gift!
Noisy but snuggly January 3, 2009 As other reviewers have said, the motor noise is loud and distracting to me, but the kids do not notice it at all. The sound and movement are very realistic, yet it is still plush enough to snuggle with - just what my daughter wanted. It's a pricey toy at $[...]+, but worth it when her face lit up on Christmas morning.
